Our next fundraising event will be our coffee morning at the Upton School Room on Tuesday 3rd September 11-1pm, please join us for tea, coffee and cake as well as our bring and buy stall and guess the teddy’s birthday 🧸! 🍰🧁☕️😊

We will be having a stall at the Upton St Leonard’s show on the 14th September 2-4:30pm. Pop along if you can to find out more about the charity and we will also be having a ‘pop up’ pack a box for £5! 🎁😊

A reminder our sponsored walk is the Saturday ! 😊

Meet at Christchurch Abbeydale for a 10am start

We will be having our sponsored walk to fund the shoeboxes later in the year. We will be walking to Prinknash Abbey to enjoy a picnic lunch with an option to pop into the cafe for a snack/ice cream etc before returning. 😊

If you would like to join us, please arrive for a 10am start, parking will be available and we will walk from the church. Any sponsor money that you have collected can be passed to us on the day or in the coming weeks.

Many thanks to everyone that came to our shoebox fundraiser on what was a lovely sunny day ! ☀️ Thank you to our lovely hosts, homemade cakes and to everyone that came along and supported the event! We raised approx £400! ☕️🍰😊

Maxim’s father is fighting on the frontlines in Ukraine. “When he was still at home, he would tell me about God,” Maxim said. “He taught me how to pray and took me to church sometimes. I am sad not to have my dad around, and I want him to be near.”

One day, Maxim was invited to an Operation Christmas Child event at a local church.

“They told us about the birth of Saviour, played games, and all thanked God in prayer. I felt as if my dad was near and prayed with me. And when they gave us gift boxes, I was very happy.

“I found many interesting toys, pencils, candies. I understood that God cared about me when I felt lonely. I am going to pray more for my dad to return home quickly because I know that God loves me,” Maxim said.

With Father’s Day coming soon, our thoughts and prayers are with the many children around the world who have been separated from their fathers. We pray that they may receive the same comfort as Maxim—that they have a Heavenly Father who sees them and loves them.

In just over a weeks time we are having our Sweet Treats and Tea event to raise funds to send shoeboxes later in the year. We are holding this in a volunteers lovely garden and it would be lovely if you could join us. We will have lots of lovely cakes and tea for you to enjoy. Anne has supported our Operation Christmas Child project for many years now by faithfully packing shoeboxes that go to children around the world, as a tangible demonstration of God’s love.

Now, with our national headquarters moving closer to her home in the Midlands, she’s thrilled to be able to help on-site at our monthly volunteer days.

“The idea that we are going to touch so many families and communities across the world, I think that is mind blowing.”

We are very thankful for all the volunteers who, like Anne, generously give their time to make projects like Operation Christmas Child possible – they are everyday heroes making a worldwide impact.

“I've been made very welcome here. And all these people I didn't know… It’s been lovely to meet both staff and volunteers.”

You are invited to a Prayer Gathering on Saturday 11th May at 10am at our National Ministry Centre in Coventry. They'll be worship from Nexus College students and you'll also be able to hear from and pray for other local ministries.

14-year-old Ferdinand in Madagascar was delighted to receive school supplies in his shoebox gift. In fact, his new supplies motivated him so much that his grades began to improve and before long he qualified for free public high school. 🖋️📓 📏

One of our Gloucester volunteers has recently returned from an outreach in Georgia distributing shoeboxes to children. Have a look through the photos to see all the children receiving the shoeboxes ! 🎁🎁🎁 😌

We’ll be exploring a range of volunteering roles from prayer mobilisation to church and community relations, logistics, media, leadership and more. A reminder that tomorrow week we are having our craft day. We will be at the School Room 10-3pm in Upton St Leonard’s, which is just opposite the church. We will be preparing games, craft and stationery packs for children as well as wrapping shoeboxes in preparation for this years Gloucester boxes. You are welcome to pop in or stay for the day, refreshments will be available - tea/coffee cake etc ☕️ 🍰🧁☺️
