Millom Integrated Care Community (ICC) is made up of public and voluntary sector organisations who all work together to improve the overall health and wellbeing of our community.
A good news story for Millom. I'm Jen and am the Millom Integrated Care Community Development Lead. Back in April I submitted a bid to the Cumbria Foundation Fund and secured £5,000 for Jenny Brumby's team of volunteers. In May I did another bid and secured a further £5,000 from the Police Commissioner Fund for the team. I am delighted to say that after a further bid submission in early November I was awarded £7,500 yesterday to go to Jenny's team to keep up their fantastic work in the community. On top of that this morning I secured £2,500 from NHS Volunteer Winter Funds to also come to Millom. So that's a whopping £20,000 for Millom, all going to the fantastic Around The Combe volunteer fund to ensure the most vulnerable people in our community are being fed warm meals and have food in their cupboards, kept safe and getting their prescriptions 😊😊
