When hiring, it's important to remember that attitude is often a more valuable asset than experience. While experience can certainly be an advantage, a positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow can go a long way in making a successful hire.
Employees with a can-do attitude are typically more motivated, adaptable, and able to work well with others, which can lead to a more positive and productive work environment. Additionally, employees with a positive attitude are more likely to take initiative, seek out opportunities for professional development, and be more resilient in the face of challenges. Overall, prioritising attitude over experience when making hiring decisions can lead to a more successful and harmonious team.
Attitude can definitely make all the difference when it comes to hiring, and our development team at VModel is a prime example of this. They consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and work ethic, always showing up and putting their best foot forward. It's thanks to this attitude that we've been able to successfully build ongoing projects like (https://vellmagazine.com) showcasing their impressive skills and expertise in web development.
In fact, we've found that attitude is often even more important than experience. While experience certainly has its merits, a team member who is willing to learn and grow with the company, and who has a positive, can-do attitude, can often be more valuable in the long run. They're more likely to be flexible, adaptable, and willing to take on new challenges, making them an invaluable asset to any team.
At and as an entrepreneur, I prioritise attitude in all of our hiring decisions, recognising that a positive, can-do attitude can make all the difference in building a successful team and company culture. We believe that this focus on attitude has been a key factor in our success, and we're always on the lookout for team members who share this commitment to positivity and hard work.
In a world where success often seems reserved for the privileged few, it's important to celebrate the triumphs of those who have had to fight harder to make it.

Witness an intriguing tale! 🎻🎶
Within the bustling transit of Washington D.C., a gifted violinist, Joshua Bell, graced the subway with his musical prowess for a total of 45 minutes. Astonishingly, out of the 1,097 individuals who passed by, only seven paused to appreciate his craft, and just one had the recognition to identify him as one of the most esteemed musicians in the world! 💥
Despite such a staggering fact, Bell collected an impressive sum of $32.17 in gratuities from 27 passersby (excluding $20 offered by the individual who recognized him). What's more, Bell played one of the most intricate and sophisticated compositions ever written, utilizing a $3.5 million violin! 😮
This remarkable experiment demonstrated that exceptional talent, when presented in an ordinary environment, can easily go unnoticed and undervalued. However, it need not be so! 🔥
Brilliant and talented individuals surround us, and they deserve the recognition and rewards they merit. It is up to these individuals to cultivate their value and confidence and seek out an environment that can serve them best, leading to their growth and thriving. ✨
Thus, one ought to heed their intuition, and refuse to settle in an environment that fails to appreciate their worth. 💪

HUSTLE. End of Discussion.
The goal of a great discussion isn’t to agree on the same things but to share perspectives. We live in a moist world where people feel the need to agree or be ingenuine to build relationships with others.

This guy is literally treating people like animals - or worse. 🫣🫣🫣
If any other race was treated like this, y’all would be crying. Honestly I feel dumb for supporting other causes because when it’s our turn, a cause for us black people, “social media silence” 🤐
Most who see this WILL most likely ignore it, even our own people will because of the harsh realities they don’t want to face but they know deep down they’re failing us and are part of the problem.
We cannot let people do this to our race and be quiet. Where’s your pride? Where’s your anger? Where’s your voice? Don’t blame Instagram for this. Don’t be blind. Instagram is just a tool, if enough people spoke about this, it will be addressed. We all watched Johnny Depp’s trial. The world gave a f**k about that, just not dying black people.
Even black people don’t post it - but let someone get stabbed in the western world by a black person and it will be all over the news.
I’m tired of this hate culture.
Wake up guys and speak for yours.
Fight for yours.
Represent yours. 🥷🏾
Stop being so fake.

Do some positive and rewarding s**t you’ve never done before. It needs to benefit you for you to stay motivated, so pick something whose reward will be satisfactory for time and effort spent.

This one’s for you 🫵🏾
For me: I think i would be more confident, consistent, more importantly, extra persistent about my dreams.
What about you? 👨🏾💻
AGREED!
This was fun to make. Enjoy.
Whilst this works for the majority of the world and people - I personally believe there are exceptions and perhaps some elements of old logic.
A lot of the times, what you know ain’t s**t - but you don’t know. (unknown unknown) 🤌🏾
The concept of sticking to what you know leaves no room for curiosity, leaving most people ignorant. Humans are wired to evolve, your brain should be too. 🤓
Knowledge is the most powerful tool in the universe and by comparing that body of information to what you know, you hardly know anything - and so by this logic, sticking to what you know is backwards and perhaps silly. Aspire to learn new s**t. New perspectives will save you.
Another example is: you can know stuff but it’s possible that what you know doesn’t serve you or bring you peace/happiness/satisfaction/comfort.
DO NOT stick to what you know if it doesn’t personally make you happy.
DO NOT stick to what you know because you’re scared of taking a risk towards freedom (which usually is defined by what brings you happiness/satisfaction and peace) .
Example: Scamming or fraud is a skillset and a hard one to perfect (no peace even through there may be satisfaction) - but asking my boy to stick to what he knows because he needs to survive is not good advice, especially if I know better.
You could have the wrong perfect career for yourself by listening to parents who helped (or made🤡) you choose - (peace may be present here but there’ll be no satisfaction)
;Same goes for the wrong instrument, the wrong partner, etc. what you know isn’t really s**t unless it brings you peace or the satisfaction you need, even if there’s a reward system like accolades or great s*x in this particular example.
If what you know isn’t working or is dragging you down, don’t stick to it. Learn new perspectives/skills/habits/s**t
I’m not the most poetic MF
Make this make sense to you.
Great example of being your brother’s keeper.
Brandon Harris and Sura Sohna grew up as friends in Annapolis, Maryland, attending both elementary and middle school together.
As the boys matured, their lives began to take two very different shapes, Harris eventually receiving a scholarship to an elite private high school, paving the way for his eventual full scholarship offer from Davidson College.
On the contrary, Sohna, who had been in and out of trouble since a child, went on to be sentenced to 15 years in prison on one count of burglary.
When Harris got the opportunity to create a research project centered-around “telling stories,” Harris chose to tell Sohna’s story. The project turned into a successful attempt to help Sohna get released from prison 12 years early.

S**t happens. Always. 🤷🏾♂️
There’s a saying that “the harder the pull on a catapult, the further it’ll go”
A perfect blueprint doesn’t guarantee any success. S**t almost always happens along the way while bringing an idea to life; don’t trip, you can choose to stay on track and investigate your mistakes/find a way back or get off it for a while to cool off.
When situations arises while building an idea, without knowing it, you’re empowering yourself with the weapons and knowledge to become better at building that idea by trying to attempt a fix.
Remember, nothing great in life comes easy or is easy to achieve. If anyone tells you otherwise, it’s a setup 💀
If you took a big, big L and cant move or move forward as above, I suggest you find people who took the similar Ls or Ls of the same magnitude and ask them/research how they moved on from it. Everyone has a unique similar experience, in the entrepreneurship industry.
