Charity shop finds. I really do love a search around a charity shop. I snuck in to our local one today when we were out to get some food for dinner. I usually pick up books as they are only £1 each!

I also found some other lovely little treasures this time too… I’ll start a highlight in my stories 🕯️

Just a teeny tiny selection of our new Winter (didn’t say Christmas) ranges. We are open tomorrow. So wouldn’t it just be lovely to enjoy coffee and cake followed by a meander round the artisan shops …

It’s lunchtime on Friday and have arrived. What a treat. These candles we get year after year and they always sell out. Our favourite is Winter Thyme + Inspiritus… I’m going to get these online in our new shop too and launch that asap. I promise. As I know those far and wide adore these candles as much as we do. I’ll also pop some in the spa over … happy Friday 🍂

Our little shop is open today from 11am and it’s full of lovely little things. Like this cushion (which has snuck into ) we also have all of our Christmas stock out and ready to look at at. I think you will love !! See you soon …

Just having 5 minutes! We are just having a few moments “out of office” —

I appreciate I still haven’t launched the website, posted about garden and house updates, made a gorgeously Instagram reel of what I packed but you know what; it’s ok. It’s ok to not complete every little task when you expected you would. And it’s ok to not feel guilty.

I will be doing all of the above (maybe not the glamorous reel of what I packed. Because it mainly just consists of ten thousand pairs of tiny underpants for our youngest Max and a shed load of goggles and other beach paraphernalia)

I will post some of my favourite holidays finds though and also over on a quick holiday “no makeup” routine!!

Until then I hope you have a wonderful rest of the Summer holidays and find a couple of your own moments. To have a brew, read a book, have a pamper or whatever you need to feel a little like you 💋

These are some of my favourite bowls… they are the perfect addition to most rooms. Whether it be to hold nibbles in the kitchen, rings and earrings by your bed or cotton pads or soap in your bathroom.

As lands back on our screens on our obsession with the McGee style strikes again.

Cushions and interior accessories are the perfect thing to cost effectively completely change the feeling of a room. You can even store cushion covers and styling tools away seasonally. Changing them throughout the year. When you want to be cosy in winter and fresher in spring / summer.

If you want to capture a McGee style in your own home I would start with cushions … a nice crisp white bed linen set with a variety of cushions in different textures but all similar tones. Will get you on the right track. Our linen block printed look cushions are from £28 with beautiful feather inners certainly give off McGee vibes!!

Coffee Break — I can no longer sit here — which can only mean one thing … the Garden Makeover has begun.

When I set off with Studio Loft I swore I would share more of what happens at my own home and although garden design isn’t my comfort zone (we have an landscape designer luckily) I’m going to share the make over with you on here.

So briefly — we live in a new build Redrow home. We moved in just before Christmas 2020. We haven’t had to do too much it’s lovely and we are very lucky. But one thing that was fairly standard and the same with most new builds is the generic gardens. A nod to a patio and the rest laid to lawn.

We couldn’t really use the space, the patio wasn’t big enough for furniture and there is a slight slope off to the bottom end.

So we have just completed day one of the renovation — the garden has been excavated (light work for the digger) and some hardcore has been put down to begin to make a bed for the new patios.

Follow the stories for day to day updates. I’m really excited to see it all come together and evolve over the next couple of weeks.

We still have a couple of decisions left to make
- confirm tiles (I think this is almost done)
- confirm lighting (the raised beds will be lit and the curved wall will also have lighting integrated)
- pergola / bbq stations - we have a few more days to decide on these although they will be built into the patios so need to decide before that starts going down!!

It really does make my day when lovely customers send over images of their Studio finds styled in their own homes. It’s magic 🪄 thank you.
