In my breathwork training, we were told about "teaching from the middle of the mess."
The idea that none of us are perfectly healed, enlightened, or on a pedestal above anyone else.
That we are all simply human beings, who are also living life for the first time, making mistakes, living with struggles and learning / figuring it out as we go.
That we can teach 'from the middle of the mess' because that is real, authentic, and vulnerable.
Coming out of what I could say was 3 of the hardest and darkest months of my life, I can happily say that this was such a powerful perspective to have.
As a coach, and someone in the health and wellbeing industry, I felt a huge pressure to be a certain way, to have a level of happiness, content, to look or behave in a particular way.
I really felt I had to always have my s**t together, and the fact that I was struggling with depression was somehow a failure on my part.
It was a huge relief and breakthrough to just accept where I was and still show up as myself in the mess.
In many ways, it allowed me to show up deeper, connect with people on a greater level, and allow me to see the path that I actually want to be on to guide people through.
I believe you call that a silver living ✨️💛

50 Reconnect ✨️💛🙏
My take on 75 Hard, but a way to reconnect with my body, mind & soul. Doing practices that are going to align me with the best and highest version of myself.
For 50 days, starting tomorrow, Thursday 18th July, I will be doing the following practices daily:
1. Breathwork 🌬
2. Meditation 🧘🏼♀️
3. Mobility / stretch 🤸🏼♀️
4. Intentional time in nature 🌿🍃
5. Personal growth / development in the form of journaling and self inquiry 💫
I've opened up for others to join in for the journey too, picking whatever 'investments' for themselves that they see fit 🙌
It's completely free, I just ask that you show up willing to commit to yourself for those 50 days 👌

Bitter sweet 🙏
Over the past 2 days have said goodbye to a number of PT clients as I transition my business fully over to coaching online and focus my energy on the Upgrade Program as well as workshops, retreats and other exciting new ventures.
Sadly it means I won't be seeing some of these wonderful humans anymore. It's a gift that we get to build such incredible friendships through this work 💛
Heart sore but also excited about this new chapter in my journey 🙌

Life is short
If you aren't careful you'll spend too much time doing the stuff you 'have' to do that you will run out of time to do the things that bring you joy.
Make space.
It's never convenient.
It's always worth it 🙏

I am grateful for all the time I have had Personal Training Sumeya over the past few years. She then became my Reformer Pilates teacher and got me to fall in love with a completely new movement modality.
The friendships that are born through this work are so special, and I feel very blessed to be able to connect with so many different people.
As times slowly start to change, and I shift the focus on my business slightly, it means I won't be seeing some of these people quite so often anymore. It's certainly not a goodbye, just a change of pace ☺️
Change is hard, but it's also required for growth 🙏
Exciting new ventures up ahead 💛
Successful first 2 sessions at .zimbabwe
The aim of these is to guide people through the experience leading into the plunge pool and then sauna.
We focused today on:
➡️ Tuning into the body to check how it was feeling so we could decide on an appropriate course of action for the session
➡️ A few types of breathwork, first to prime the body for the plunge, then control our breathing and emotions whilst in the pool
➡️ Movement before and after to prepare the body
➡️ Mindset around recovery and using these tools, knowing our limits, when to push through, and when to step back
➡️ It's a bit of a laugh and some humour (because it makes all of these experiences more enjoyable)
We will be posting class times soon.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that an apple is probably better for you than a cookie…
Many “diets” and attempts to change eating habits fail because they start by focusing exclusively on WHAT you’re eating, without addressing WHY you’re eating it.
It’s more important to address the reason behind the choice than the choice itself.
Our relationship with food is going to be the biggest driver in the decisions we make at meal time.
If you want long-term, sustainable nutrition changes, it’s not about just doing things differently…
It’s about SEEING things differently. (change in behaviours + change in beliefs = transformation)
Here are 3 nutrition principles to help you change the conversation in your head and address the WHY behind your eating:
1. Eat to WIN
• Meal time is an opportunity to make myself better and practice self-love.
• What do I have available right now to give my body the most while asking for the least?
2. Eat with INTENTION
• Being intentional about everything we put in our bodies - “what is the purpose of this food?”
• Awareness and attention to the quality and quantity of our food and our practice of how we prepare and consume it.
3. Eat from the OUTCOME
• How do I think this food will make me feel?
• Does the person I want to be eat like this?
When you choose your food, you choose your mood.
Instead of asking:
“What do I want to eat?”
Ask yourself:
“How do I want to feel? What foods would make me feel like that?”
Then go eat some of that…
When you're clear on how you want to feel and WHY, the decision between the apple and the cookie becomes very simple.
Intention is the only extra ingredient needed.

My approach is with kindness, openess and some humour. Life's too short to be serious all the time
I'll show up as my most authentic self when coaching and sharing online, so that I create a space where others feel safe to do so too.
When I say holistic I mean the 'whole' person, we look at all areas of a person's life to identify what's working or what is not. I find this incredibly interesting how we can make a small change in one area and see the whole of someone's life benefit from it 👌

What is your relationship to movement? Do you feel like you live an active lifestyle?
An active lifestyle usually includes the gym but always goes beyond it.
Living in a way that honours movement as a way to grow not just physically but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
An active lifestyle always starts with the Consistent Daily Movement.
Creating time to move as many times, and in as many ways as possible.
This can look like going for a walk, having a short movement or stretch routine, and taking the stairs instead of the elevator.
It's learning to play again, to explore and to move in any way that feels good to you.
Anything you can to keep your body in motion.
Because a body in motion performs better in ALL aspects of our life.
