I wish all my friends and everyone I represent as a Councillor a very safe, restful, comfortable, & happy Christmas.
Best wishes to all.
Seeing this on my Christmas Eve walk prompts me to write…
“A lonely church in a deserted field on a cloudy, windy Christmas Eve.
Fresh flowers on many graves of the dead express the love of those who grieve.
Bereavement that’s eased for those believe…
…in Christmas”
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”
A special Christmas wish to the bereaved and the lonely this Christmas. xx

These latest surveys highlight the ever-increasing levels of concern that members of the public and businesses have about issues associated with the A1.
With so many people talking about this it is shocking that the Government has not actually done anything about it yet. It is time to stop passing the buck and make something happen.
The A1 is a key element in the economic infrastructure of South Kesteven and, quite apart from the human cost in injuries and accidents, as a planning authority SKDC is very conscious that the safety and capacity issues also hamper the delivery of growth in the District.
A1 branded unsafe and not fit for purpose as group delivers damning verdict Poor road conditions, fatal accidents and regular congestion have led drivers and businesses to back calls for improvements on the ‘unsafe’ A1.
CCTV operators at SKDC play a vital role in creating safer communities 🎦🚨
Following an annual audit, we are delighted that our system continues to be fully compliant with all requirements for the management and operation of more than 70 CCTV cameras across the District ✅

Cllr Rhea Rayside, Cabinet Member for People and Communities, said: “We are the only local authority in Lincolnshire that has this accreditation, and it is something to be proud of.
“We have more than 70 cameras across the district, all in public open spaces so that they can play a significant role in crime prevention, help our law enforcement partners and also to give reassurance to the public.”
We're pleased to share that the streets of South Kesteven are set to become safer thanks to a £172,000 injection of Government money to fund a series of initiatives. 👏🌃
These include increasing CCTV operative cover over the weekend, as well as out-of-hours town patrols. It will also extend the Pub Watch Scheme and provide additional training.
The funding will also help to appoint a Safer Streets Champion and establish the provision of Home Safe Tokens enabling vulnerable people, or those under threat, to get home safely.

🎁🎅🎁 CAN YOU HELP?? 🎁🎅🎁
As we are gearing up for our Christmas Day Meal, we are reaching out to our lovely community for help!
Each year we hand out a Christmas Present to all who come (because who doesn't deserve a little pressie eh') and we always struggle for adult presents, both male and female.
Could you donate a little something, so everyone has something to open?
If this is something you feel that you can do, please drop it off (unwrapped) to the Pantry or at the Saturday Cafe at Barnhill Methodist Church.
We are open;
Tues - Sat: 10.30am - 2.00pm
We hope to make Christmas as special as possible for all ☺️
Thank you ever so much 🥰
