The Eye Witness Works Development by Capital&Centric is a community of 97 design-led apartments, duplexes and townhouses across three incredible buildings. Eyewitness Works and Ceylon Works, both Grade II listed former cutlery works, and Brunswick (where this apartment is located) an industrial-style new build.

Brunswick is a blank industrial canvas with huge dual-aspect windows that over look trees and flood the rooms with natural light. We had fun selecting a playful dressing pack to overlay onto the high spec furniture packs which come with each home.

Artworks was chosen to compliment the HAY products. And we used large planting to bring through the botanical atmosphere of the three lush green courtyard gardens which are available to all residents.

Our main pallet utilises the subtle vibrancy of HAY products to produce a fun, yet sophisticated aesthetic.

here’s a little look at BXH

a fusion of scandinavian chic and traditional british grandeur - to celebrate the history of both the building and brand.

the backdrop to the concept is largely a monochrome palette to compliment perfectly against the paler fabrics and pastel tones.

a-nd introduced sound absorbing finishing touches made from a mixture of manmade and natural fabrics.

Capital&Centric have the vision to create the first owner-occupier community in Manchester’s Piccadilly East. This remained important to us whilst designing the show apartment to create a new, aspirational environment for prospective residents.

Capital&Centric take mundane spaces & create brilliant places. Crusader is at the heart of Piccadilly East is the perfect place to live. This converted mill space boasts exposed bricks, timber beams and large steel windows.

our fabric centric scheme offers a gentle nod to the site’s history with flowing artwork and soft shapes to reference the threads which once ran through the industrial revolution.

contrasting block colours and elemental lines hark to a playful use of materials and texture through fashion and interiors.

the interior space draws parallels between the buildings historic character and streetwear trends whilst maintaining a warm neutral pallet for the perspective inhibitor.

urban splash have transformed this grade II* listed building into some of the city’s biggest lofts, restoring all of the amazing original features such as brickwork and the cast iron columns.

our concept found harmony between contemporary requirements of modern day living whist seamlessly referencing the context of the site and its historical usage. soft durable fabrics with sleek curved metals blend throughout all spaces for a coherent considered scheme. comfort with a durable usability have been at the forefront of our minds for the design scheme.

Manchester's newest New York style loft apartments - 25 years in the making... Urban Splash have spent the last quarter of a decade transforming the city's mills.

a-nd were appointed to design and fit-out the cafe, store and offices at projekts mcr, along with an overlay of lighting and brand application across the whole project - coordinating both the design, project management and implementation of the works.

whilst industrial notes have been key and referenced with the shipping containers, the interiors emphasise a DIY/Community feel, creating a welcoming and fun environment. the project offers something timeless, flexible and durable.

happy accessories we didn’t know we needed... a little look at our latest co-lab with capital¢ric on an exciting apartment design they challenged us with on a 1k furniture budget.

we have been wanting to use this mixed emotions range for a while and it is the perfect ‘happy’ accessory to add some bougie to a budget sofa. the side hanging over the back of the sofa bed has a sad face, but with everything going on in the world right now they can stay facing the wall.

our latest project was an exciting adventure and the first large fit out post covid-19 lockdown. how to fit out a 60 cover costa on an isolated raf base - in the middle of a global pandemic.

we love doing all of our projects, but when you get a project like this one where you can create places to relax, enjoy and inhabit by people who are literally hero’s, it gives you that warm feeling inside. we may not be saving the world as designers, but we can keep those who are comfy and add in some extra chic to a very classic and traditional organisation. we are happy to be included in the modernisation of our Royal Air Force.

lots of research and theory goes into every single one of our designs. we recently completed the first of two show apartments for city-centre property developer capital¢ric. the show apartment at phoenix aims to create a new, aspirational environment for prospective residents and a strategically placed yoga mat works perfectly in this multi-functioning space whilst aligning with the health-conscious city centre dweller.

we consciously treat our residential projects with the same underpinned concept as our larger commercial schemes. this approach adheres an overall sense of consideration and coherency. here, we used a minimal pallet that could be rolled out through the entire scheme and implemented in a number of innovative ways.
