Exercise during pregnancy?
Your body and capacity will change as your pregnancy progresses, it’s important to remember your body is using a huge amount of energy to nurture the growth of your baby, but exercising with a professional will help you make informed decisions related specifically to you and most attuned with your goals.
Our Sports Therapist and Personal Trainer, Chloe, is now offering dry cupping therapy.
Dry cupping therapy involves the use of special cups placed on the skin under suction to form a vacuum, causing the tissues underneath the skin to expand.
This creates an enhanced blood flow which draws toxins and impurities away from the tissue for elimination therefore this treatment is excellent for exercise recovery!
Using a combination of static or sliding cupping techniques, this treatment can help to reduce pain and inflammation, mobilise fascia, remove tissue adhesions and release stress and tension in the body.
It also helps to stimulate the lymphatic system and facilitate immune function.

Lead physiotherapist Teresa will deep dive into why pain is more than just a sensation to be recorded as a score!
What is shockwave therapy?
Focused shockwave (f-ESWT) harnesses high energy sound waves which are delivered precisely to your injury to activate tissue repair mechanisms at a cellular level.
Compared to radial shockwave, focused shockwave therapy allows us to pinpoint damaged tissue, target this region and treat effectively with no impact on healthy tissue.
