We have seen a surge in fruity tablescapes recently and we've got to say we're LOVING this trend! What are your thoughts? 💭

We’ve gained some new followers recently so, if you’re new to Pintail Candles/Avalon Home or need a reminder about who we are & what we do best then here’s a little bit about us…

I’m Samantha… Head Bitch in Charge and responsible for developing the best in British homeware and making it right here in our Cumbrian workshop. I’ve spent most of my life leading big teams in retail and marketing and packed it all in to walk the hills of the Lake District and invest in building better business.

We’re here to ‘reimaging British manufacturing as the home of great design and sustainable execution’. Basically we want to make beautiful things for you without fu***ng up the planet for our grand children. Plus, we want you to know that every £ you spend with us is going straight into our team of talented artisans, building their lives and livelihoods.

Our mission is to make sure everyone can live in a great smelling and overly decorated home, without breaking the bank or the planet. We’re about to launch our newest fabric design, a mantlepiece worthy candle of dreams and an entire greenhouse of kitchen garden scents for summer.

We’re so grateful to have you as part of the gang, and have so much to show you behind our big green doors – stick around.

It’s going to be a weekend full of heirloom pieces arriving and we are so proud to have played a part in making Mum’s smile this Sunday.

✨A family affair✨

Perfectly darling in every way - proper heirloom pieces for dinners in years to come.

I have (and treasure) my Granny’s table linen from when she was first married - with the laundry marks, the stains, the holes. Tales of a life lived in different times, with ancestors we’ll never get to meet.

And, it’s my hope that in another 50 years there might be another set of grandchildren discovering these for the first time. Comparing the handwriting to their own, rubbing linen against tiny cheeks and tracing embroidery with little fingers.

The truest of reasons to set the table.

Hands up who ALSO hasn’t given Mother’s Day a second thought? 🙋🏽‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️
