NHS 111 online 28/04/2021

A reminder for residents and visitors ahead of this bank holiday weekend that people who contact NHS 111 by phone or online, at any time of day or night, will get quicker clinical advice and care before they visit an Emergency Department.
The 111 service has been in place since 2013, but since the end of last year those contacting 111 who need emergency medical care from a hospital Emergency Department (also known as A&E) have been given direct access to the department. If the issue would be better dealt with in a Minor Injury Unit, GP surgery or other urgent care site, patients can be booked in directly. The improvements are there to ensure that people get to the right place for treatment quickly and reduce waiting times.
Other arrangements have not changed and people with serious or life-threatening illnesses or injuries should continue to dial 999, as before.
Should you need to contact 111 - just dial 111, or click: https://111.nhs.uk/

Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service 14/04/2021

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service are starting to develop our their Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP) which will run from April 2022 until 2027. Historically there has been an Integrated Risk Management Plan and a Fire and Rescue Plan. The CRMP will replace these two plans with one document that outlines the risks in our communities and how we plan to manage those risks to make people safer.

Before developing the draft CRMP, the service are gathering views from people and partners across Devon and Somerset. We are capturing this through an online survey which can be found on their homepage: http://www.dsfire.gov.uk/index.cfm?siteCategoryId=1

Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service We are continually monitoring and managing the impact of coronavirus on our staff and communities so that we can continue to deliver our frontline services.
