Toe-up socks! I usually knit socks from the top, so it’s fun to start at the toe for a change. I followed video for the cast on method, using hand spun yarn from bits of coloured tops I used for teaching needle felting.

Sara’s runner is finished! She chose to have the ends knotted and when I wet finished it they really fluffed up.
She collected it this morning, with instructions not to machine wash it.

Just threaded up my handspun singles to weave a table runner for the owner of the sheep (she gave me the fleeces)
The white and black were carded together to make the grey.
Planning to weave a broken twill variation to get little arrows on the stripes - fingers crossed!

It’s a very soft weave, so I’ll carefully zig zag all the edges that will be exposed.

I wove this fabric a few years ago, as a sample piece, combining cotton and silk noil yarns, and never found a use for it because it's quite narrow and has a REALLy obvious stripe.
Hurrah for - it JUST fits on this fabric!
