Tomorrow we will have a beautiful Peace Meditation zoom all together.
We can make a difference.
The teachings of Yoga show us that we can build unity in our combined human consciousness when we gather to meditate together and dedicate our thoughts to peace.🙏🏻

Hey there, I'm back - 😎💕🎉
WOW! here we are : JANUARY 1st 🙂
You last heard from me back on March 24th which was the last day of 2019 in our "traditional" year that was celebrated for hundreds of years before the calendar was hijacked for commerce and converted to what we currently use today to mark time.
From March 25th I went on a beautiful sacred 'inward' journey to deepen my yoga practice and further study ancient wisdom. That process inspired me to create the 91 Days Way Maker journey which ran on Yoga Toolbox from 21st September, Autumn Equinox to 21st December, Winter Solstice. It really was very special to share those 13 weeks with th awesome 'Way Maker' yogis.
Of course I didn't forget about you - I've been creating another magical journey which I'll share with you over the next few days.
HAPPY N'ers Day! 🥃 SLANJAVAR! wishing you and your family a loving, joyful and connected 2021 filled with abundant health and happiness - fueled by love 🙏🏼✨

I am at peace with myself and my life. I accept and embrace life as it unfolds. I am at peace within my body and my mind. Peace surrounds me. I choose peaceful thoughts and feelings. I see the peace in every situation. I am peace.

Affirmations for peace

Repeating affirmations is a simple way of programming our subconscious mind into a more positive way of thinking. We spend on average 95% of our time thinking sub consciously and our feelings are generated from these thoughts. If we can programme our mind to thinking more positively then it begins to generate more positive feelings.

Happy Mother's Day (UK) BABE - and to all Mother's worldwide 🌸💕
Let's not forget to celebrate LOVE for our universal mother, the MOTHER EARTH.
The Earth, nourishes and protects us in every moment. Giving us air to breathe, fresh water to drink, food to eat, healing herbs to cure us when we are sick and keep us healthy and a stunning variety of flowers in all colours imaginable. Every breath we inhale contains our planet’s nitrogen, oxygen, water vapour and trace elements.
When we breathe with mindfulness, we can experience our connection with the Earth’s delicate atmosphere, with all the plants, and even with the sun, whose light makes possible the miracle of photosynthesis. With every breath we can experience this connection. With every breath we can savour the wonders of life.
Thank you Mother Earth for you life giving nourishment, we honour you today and everyday.

- make it even more magical since it's the 13th! ✨💕

12/03/2020

Hey BABE, since we've been focusing on our amazing hands, we want to ensure you are looking after them so please watch out for nasty ingredients in your hand soap and sanitisers.
Here are 11 toxic ingredients to avoid
1. Triclosan
When triclosan comes in contact with your skin, it stays there for many hours It is similar to gent Orange which is a pesticide which can decrease fertility, cause birth defects and damage to major organs. It can also cause hormone imbalance and when combined with chlorine from our water to make chloroform gas.
2. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate
Found in liquid soaps it is also the active ingredient in garage floor cleaners, engine degreasers, and industrial strength soaps. It can damage cell membranes and possibly cause hair loss. It is also linked to skin and eye irritation, organ toxicity, developmental/reproductive toxicity, neurotoxicity, endocrine disruption, ecotoxicological, and biochemical or cellular changes, and possible mutations and cancer.
3. Parabens
Parabens are in so many skin care products; they preserve other ingredients and extend a product’s shelf life. There are many types of parabens: methylparaben, butylparaben, propylparaben, etc. They disrupt hormones, diminish muscle mass and storing fat. Topical parabens have been detected in breast cancer tumours which is concerning because parabens have been shown to mimic the action of the female hormone oestrogen, which can encourage the growth of human breast tumours.
4. Ureas
Formerly known as Diazolidinyl Urea, Imidazolidinyl, DMDM hydantoin, sodium hydroxymethylglycinate, these chemicals are hard to pronounce and have several concerns associated with them, they can release formaldehyde and cause joint pain, heart irregularities, and a weakened immune system and are a primary cause of contact dermatitis.
5. Synthetic Colours
Synthetic colours are made from coal tar. They contain heavy metal salts that may deposit toxins onto the skin, causing skin sensitivity and irritation. Animal studies have shown almost all of them to be carcinogenic. They will be labelled as FD&C or D&C, followed by a colour and a number.
6. Diethanolamine (DEA)
Diethanolamine (DEA) is used as a wetting agent in shampoos, lotions, creams, bubble bath, and other cosmetics. It is linked to cancer, developmental/reproductive toxicity, allergies/immunotoxicity, and organ system toxicity.
7. Propylene Glycol, Propylene Oxide, Polyethylene Glycol
Propylene glycol is the main ingredient in anti freeze and is listed as a known carcinogen. It is often found in hand sanitisers. It weakens skin cells and is linked to cancer, developmental/reproductive toxicity, allergies/immunotoxicity, and organ system toxicity.
8. Synthetic Fragrance
Synthetic fragrances often contain phthalates, which are endocrine disrupters that mimic hormones and may alter ge***al development. Avoid products that list ‘fragrance‘ as an ingredient unless the label states that it’s derived from essentials oils, or look for a phthalate-free label on the packaging.
9. 1,4-Dioxane
Is considered a ‘contaminant’ or ‘by-product’ of the ethoxylstion process, rather than an ingredient.
Avoid synthetic ethoxylated ingredients, including those with myreth, oleth, laureth, ceteareth, anyother “eth,” PEG, polyethylene, polyethylene glycol, polyoxyethylene, or oxynol, in their names.
10. Ethyl Alcohol (Ethanol)
Is a common ingredient in hand sanitiser. It is linked to cancer, birth defects, developmental/reproductive toxicity, and organ system toxicity.
11. Benzalkonium Chloride (BAC)
Is used in hand sanitisers and belongs to a group of germicides knows as “squats“. It is linked to cancer, allergies/immunotoxicity, and organ system toxicity.

Following on from yesterday's post about HANDS I thought to share this with you...
If you are familiar with foot reflexology (and how amazing that is) then it won't come as too much of a surprise to learn that your hands have a similar map of our body, with the top of fingers representing the head face and neck and as you move down you fingers you move down the corresponding areas within the body.
Hand massage helps to reduce dryness, reduce pain, increase circulation and improve range of motion. You don’t have to be a qualified specialist gently rub and stroke your hands making small gentle circular motions around each finger, in the soft palm area and over the back of the hand. It should feel gentle and relaxing BUT it's best not to continue if it feels painful.
As lovely as it is to receive a hand massage it is something you can easily do for yourself and the great news is you begin to feel the benefits almost immediately. Combine massage with a few gentle hand stretches for strong healthy hands.
Try this:
choose a natural carrier oil like sweet almond oil, coconut oil, grapeseed oil or avocado oil with a few drops of turmeric essential oil to act as anti-inflammatory and a couple of drops of peppermint oil. This can help look after your precious hands and at the same time support your overall health and well-being.

Give yourself a hand babe!
Our hands are SO important - just think about how much we use them in a day from getting out of bed, using the bathroom, making breakfast, dressing ourselves, the list goes on.
In truth, for most of the time we take our hands for granted, however, that would soon change if we begin to face challenges with their mobility and strength. We'd quickly realise how precious they are.
Keeping you hands in good working order is important due to the increase of inflammation within our bodies caused by excessive exposure to toxins and occasionally our lifestyle choices.
A few exercises every day can make all of the difference when it comes to hand health and mobility…don’t lose the power in your hands!

Happy International Women’s Day BABE
International Women’s Day was created to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality. International Women's Day (IWD) has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people.
2020’s theme is .
An equal world is an enabled world. Individually, we're all responsible for our own thoughts and actions - all day, every day. We can actively choose to challenge stereotypes, fight bias, broaden perceptions, improve situations and celebrate women's achievements.
Collectively, each one of us can help create a gender equal world.
Let's all be .

EGG for your hair is eggcellent! 🌿
How to Use Eggs in Haircare 🐔🥚
Egg yolks are packed with vitamins A, D, and E – all great for shiny, healthy hair and the protein creates strand strength. To top it off, the fatty acids in eggs moisturise and condition like nothing else.
The quickest and easiest way to get the great egg effect for your hair is to add a beaten egg to your regular shampoo. Just whip up the egg and pour some shampoo in the bowl with it. Wash your hair as normal.
Alternatively, you could whip up one or two eggs (depending on your volume of hair) and rub them into dry hair. Cover with a towel or shower cap and leave on 15 minutes before washing out.

Hey BABE here are 8 BEST VITAMINS FOR HAIR GROWTH
Vitamin A
All cells need vitamin A for growth. This includes hair, the fastest growing tissue in the human body.
Diets deficient in vitamin A may lead to several problems, including hair loss. Sweet potatoes, carrots, pumpkins, spinach and kale are all high in beta-carotene, which is turned into vitamin A.
2. B-Vitamins
One of the best known vitamins for hair growth is a B-vitamin called biotin. Other B-vitamins help create red blood cells, which carry oxygen and nutrients to the scalp and hair follicles. These processes are important for hair growth. You can get B-vitamins from many foods, including whole grains, almonds and dark, leafy greens.
3. Vitamin C
Free radical damage can block growth and cause your hair to age. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that helps protect against the oxidative stress caused by free radicals. In addition, your body needs vitamin C to create a protein known as collagen — an important part of hair structure. Vitamin C also helps your body absorb iron, a mineral necessary for hair growth. Strawberries, peppers, guavas and citrus fruits are all good sources of vitamin C.
4. Vitamin D
Low levels of vitamin D are linked to alopecia, a technical term for hair loss. Vitamin D is thought to play a role in hair production. Sunshine is the best way to get vitamin D, you can also take a supplement if this is in short supply or eat more mushrooms and foods fortified with vitamin D.
5. Vitamin E
Similar to vitamin C, vitamin E is an antioxidant that can prevent oxidative stress.
In one study, people with hair loss experienced a 34.5% increase in hair growth after supplementing with vitamin E for 8 months. Sunflower seeds, almonds, spinach and avocados are all good sources of vitamin E.
6. Iron
Iron helps red blood cells carry oxygen to your cells. This makes it an important mineral for many bodily functions, including hair growth.
Iron deficiency, which causes anaemia, is a major cause of hair loss. It's especially common in women
7. Zinc
Zinc plays an important role in hair tissue growth and repair. It also helps keep the oil glands around the follicles working properly.
Hair loss is a common symptom of zinc deficiency However, there are some anecdotal reports that supplementing with too high of a dose can also contribute to hair loss.
For this reason, it may be better to get your zinc from whole foods. Foods high in zinc include oysters, beef, spinach, wheat germ, pumpkin seeds and lentils.
8. Protein
Hair is made almost entirely of protein. Consuming enough is important for hair growth.
Animal studies show that protein deficiency may decrease hair growth and even lead to hair loss.

BABE ARE YOU LOSING IT?
If you’ve noticed thinning or reducing hair, or if it seems to take longer to grow it please keep reading….
Eating your nutrients to ensure you get the required vitamins is essential to having great hair but what else can you do to help it grow.
One of the most effective treatments that supports healthy hair growth is the use of essential oils. The best way to use essential oils is to add a drop of two in to your shampoo.
The most effective essential oils to help your locks grow shiny and thick are
Rosemary Peppermint Geranium
These 3 oils create an amazing combo for growing your hair. Their benefits include:- they stimulate hair follicles for growth, slow down greying and prevent hair loss. They are anti inflammatory and promote nerve growth and improve circulation which all help our hair to grow.
The BIG upside to using essential oils instead of other products on the market?
They have MANY additional health benefits and NO toxic ingredients which means its a WIN WIN for you BABE.

Dry, irritated, flaky scalp?
BABE did you know that this can be caused by dehydration? It’s the quickest and easiest treatment to try, just up your water intake and see if it changes.
If your symptoms still persist you could have an allergy to something you are consuming or using and that can be difficult to identify as we are all so unique, so the trick there is to follow a detox or cleanse to hit the reset button and re introduce possible irritants one at a time to see if they set your scalp off again!
The other real contender can be a change in hormones which causes dry skin including your scalp and you may just have to treat this for a while until your hormones rebalance.
The GREAT news is there are lots of natural healthy remedies you can use to treat your scalp.
Oils that can be massaged into your scalp
1. Coconut
2. Avocado
3. Olive
4. Jojoba
Essential oils that can be added to the above oils
1. Lavender
2. Tea Tree (melaleuca)
3. Rosemary (great for hair too)
4. Frankincense
5. Geranium (particularly if its hormone related)
Other remedies to try
1. Mashed avocado
2. Mashed banana
3. Manuka honey (mainly onto dry patches)
4. Aloe vera
5. Witch Hazel

LOVE YOUR HAIR 💕✨
Here are 12 toxic ingredients to avoid in shampoo and conditioner:
1.Sodium Lauryl Sulfate/Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLS)
A surfactant found in many cleaning products. Also an insecticide. The sodium and ammonium laureate sulfates are known cancer-causing ingredients. Also causes liver damage, skin rashes, depression, diarrhea and eye damage.
2.Fragrance (Synthetic perfumes) - Fragrance of any kind isn’t good. It clogs the lymphatic system and induces major organ system toxicity. Also causes endocrine disruption.
3.Cocamidopropyl Betaine -This foaming agent has been associated with skin and eye irritation and allergic contact dermatitis. Although the government regards it as safe, many people have negative reactions to it.
4.Triclosan - With a moderate hazard rating, triclosan should be avoided at all costs. It can accumulate in our fat cells and keep our body in a state of toxicity. It causes irritation of the skin, eyes and lungs, and causes endocrine disruption and organ system toxicity.
5.Polysorbates - Used to dissolve fragrance or other oil additives. Often found in conditioners. It leaves a residue on the skin and scalp, disrupts the skin’s natural pH and destroys the natural protective barrier of our skin and scalp. Polysorbate-80 is the worst of the bunch – but stay clear of all!
5.Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) - Often found in conditioners, PEG contains dangerous dioxin levels, often found as a by-product of the ethoxylation process in manufacturing. Dioxins have a direct link to cancer, and also cause organ system toxicity.
7.Potassium Sorbate - A preservative in hair-care products. It causes skin and organ system toxicity.

8.Phenoxyethanol - Another preservative used in cosmetics and hair care products. Causes organ system toxicity, and is an irritant to the skin, eyes and lungs. Phenoxyethanol can cause shut down of the central nervous system, vomiting and contact dermatitis..
9.Retinyl Palmitate - A form of vitamin A, can speed the development of skin tumours and lesions, making it a possible carcinogen. Causes reproductive toxicity and organ system toxicity.
10.Dimethicone - A silicone oil that can make the scalp and skin incredibly dry and irritated. It forms an almost plastic-like barrier on the outside of the skin and traps bacteria, sebum and impurities with it. It is also an eye irritant and is non-biodegradable and horrible for the environment.
11.Behentrimonium Chloride - A type of ammonium salt used as a preservative and surfactant. It is a toxic compound, with concentrations of 0.1% and higher having been shown to damage the eyes. It is irritating to the skin and causes inflammation.
12.Quaternium-15 - This chemical is another quaternary ammonium salt used as a surfactant and preservative in personal care products. It acts as a formaldehyde releaser and is definitely not safe. Formaldehyde is extremely carcinogenic.

Hey Babe - HAPPY MARCH! 😘✨💕 here's to a magical month!
We don't buy skincare, haircare, or household products that contain TOXIC ingredients so I thought to share a little something something about candles. Who doesn't like to burn a candle, right? - but let's make sure we're not poisoning ourselves ✨
Soy candles carry a lot of key benefits compared to paraffin candles
Most candles are made from paraffin wax, but soy candles are gaining steam. Soy candles don’t seem very different than paraffin candles, but there are a number of distinctions that make soy candles advantageous.
Soy wax is the first wax innovation in the candle industry in over a century and is becoming increasingly popular. While we’re all for tradition, there are a lot of reasons why out with the old and in with the new should apply to candles.
8 reasons you should be burning soy candles
Paraffin candles are cheaper, smell good, and are what we’ve always burned. Why switch to soy candles?
Health
Natural
Eco-friendly, burn cleaner, NON-TOXIC
Easier clean up
Last longer
Smell better
Stronger scent

TODAY is LEAP YEAR ...type YES is the comments below if you think this tradition still has value 💎✨💕
Did you know there's been a few famous ladies have taken the lead in proposing and they include….
Elizabeth Taylor
The legendary Hollywood film star had seven husbands, but only proposed to one. She asked British actor Michael Wilding, who was 20 years her senior, to marry her and the did the deed in 1952
Gretchen Rossi
From Real Housewives of Orange County popped the question to Slade Smiley, he then got down on one knew and said it would be a ‘privilege’…aah
Judge Judy
Courtroom TV star proposed to her husband Jerry Sheinlin in the 70’s, go on Judge Judy!.
Pink
She took matters into her own hands and proposed to her motocross star hubby Carey Hart at the Pro 250 class finals, she held up a board that said ‘will you marry me” followed by a second one that said ‘I’m serious”!

Britney Spears
She proposed to Kevin Federline back in 2004 but we all know how that ended!
5 INTERESTING LEAP YEAR FACTS 💎
1. It all started, according to an old Irish legend, or possibly history, St Brigid struck a deal with St Patrick to allow women to propose to men – and not just the other way around – every four years.
2. In some places, leap day has been known as “Bachelors’ Day” for the same reason. A man was expected to pay a penalty, such as a gown or money, if he refused a marriage proposal from a woman on Leap Day.
3. In many European countries, especially in the upper classes of society, tradition dictates that any man who refuses a woman's proposal on February 29 has to buy her 12 pairs of gloves. (so she can hide her ring finger - true story!)
4. According to the Guinness Book of Records, there are Leap day World Record Holders both of a family producing three consecutive generations born on February 29 and of the number of children born on February 29 in the same family.
5. In Scotland, it used to be considered unlucky for someone to be born on leap day and Greeks consider it unlucky for couples to marry during a leap year, and especially on Leap Day.
