Are you interested in the health sector? If so, our Introduction to Midwifery and Children’s Nursing is the perfect place to start! 👩⚕️👨⚕️
This introductory course allows you to consider a career in nursing or health care. The course consists of practical sessions within the college skills lab, carrying out basic nursing skills such as bathing babies and undertaking clinical observations. 🩺

Our Foundation Apprenticeship Software Development (1 Year) is a great way to get an insight into a future career 🖥️
You will learn the fundamental concepts behind the software development and design process, as well as gain a practical insight to key industry sectors such as web development, application development, and software development lifecycle. Your practical skills will be further developed through work-based learning activity with an employer 🤖

Next up in our Foundation Apprenticeship week is our FA Social Services Healthcare (1 Year)! 🥰
Through a mix of theory and a work placement, this FA will help you to learn how to communicate with people who use care services, and understand and support the social and developmental needs they have.

Up next is our Foundation Apprenticeship Social Services: Children and Young People (2 Year) course!🏫
This FA will give you the opportunity to develop the knowledge, values and skills required to work with children and young people 😍
In your first year, you will complete the NPA aspect of the course and then, in the second year, you will complete a work placement to gain your SVQ.

The GCC Crime Squad has been back!
Our NPA Cyber Security lecturers have hosted interactive and engaging workshops throughout the year for our young learners.
These workshops specifically look at Digital Forensics. We had 3 stations, each covering a different eye opening exercise for:
• Crime Scene collection
• Contemporaneous Notes
• Cryptography
GCC Crime Squad are on the case!

Our 2-Year Foundation Apprenticeship Manufacturing Engineering course is a great taster into a career in Manufacturing. After learning the basics in Year 1, you'll then put these to the test in a Year 2 placement out with college.

🫶 Today, we were told about a young man who lacks motivation for school. Until they told him about a new course he could do whilst still at school. His eyes lit up, he listened, he told the school this is his passion - his passion is Esports.
