AD | I've finally started with my Christmas wrapping and I'm using this beautiful wrapping paper from Curlicue . How cool does this look 👀?

I absolutely love it 😍🤩🥰

They only use 100% uncoated recycled paper which is FSC certified recycled paper, all their products are plastic-free and their gift wrap is made in the UK. Not only does mean they support UK manufacturing, the carbon footprint of their products is much lower.

Best of all, it passes the scrunch test so guess what, unlike a lot of other gift wrap, it CAN be recycled with your household recycling.

I'm in my 4th year of studying for my degree in Environmental Science and we're currently learning about the spill that took place in April 2020; how it happened, why it happened, and what were the short and long-term environmental impacts of the disaster.

Reading the timeline of the events from 20th April 2020 were shocking; there were so many debates on what to call the disaster, inaccurate reporting of how much oil was initially spilling into the Gulf of Mexico, who was to blame, what the solutions were, limiting the amount of compensation, officials reporting the clean-up process was further along than it was, and the response time.

During my recent tutorial, my tutor mentioned there has been ANOTHER spill in the Gulf of Mexico and I haven't seen anything about it on from UK mainstream media.

It made me realise how much we rely on media for information, in some cases, not necessarily accurate reporting. Does it look bad because has kicked off?

I know there have been oil spills since Deepwater Horizon but we never seem to learn, do we?
