Kinver Coronation Party
Kinver Coronation Party will feature street food, stalls and entertainment for the whole family on Sat. 29th April from Noon!
And here's Lucy who won Supreme Monarch - Best in Show. Lucy and her owner are pictured with judge Laura of Connie's Pet Shop Kinver and her assistant. Thank you Laura for all your hard work, you were a brilliant judge.
We all had a great party! Thanks to everyone who contributed, including all those fantastic entertainers. The Fun Dog Show proved very popular. Here's young Milo, who was named winner of the Prince class. Well done Milo.
Generallly a good day spoilt only by poor weather towards the end of the day.
Party time! Let's have an amazing day tomorrow. Lots for the children, street entertainment from 11 til after 5, live music all day into the evening in village pubs, food ..... and more food (with shelter if it should dare to rain). Bring the family and join a community celebration to mark the Coronation. See you there!
BUS SERVICE - Select was advised of the High Street closure. They confirm that they will operate to the normal timetable, avoiding the High Street. So they will follow the route along Bridgnorth Road, Hyde Lane to Potters Cross, then up White Hill and return. We have been advised that the times will remain unchanged.
Don't forget to pace yourselves....there is the wrestling show at the end of the afternoon, which promises to be great entertainment for the whole family.
Children - don't miss the BIG PINK FIRE ENGINE. It will be on the White Harte car park, courtesy of Fibre Heroes. Pixie Face Painter will be there too.
Make sure you get down early to hear the Bhangra Drummers at noon! And if you arrive before that, you can join in with the Ukes on the Edge.
Who's going to be Best in Show?
PARKING NEWS! Our local Housing Association has very kindly agreed to allow free parking on their Mill House premises, over the Stour Bridge as you come into the village on the right. Many thanks.

There's so much food at our Party: faggots & peas from the Deli, Indian treats at the Tandoori; hot dogs by the children's rides; a Greek BBQ & French creperie; Italian by Baci; street food at Cafe No 5; hog roast on the White Harte car park and full menu in the pub; family food by the arena; BBQ at the Royal Exchange - plus doughnuts, candy floss, ice cream, teas and lots of cakes. Forget the diet.

What brilliant window displays along the High Street! They really celebrate the Coronation and our Party. The individual shops in Kinver have so much to offer - fashion and flowers, gifts and gems, crafts and cakes - to name but a few. Come along and discover for yourself.
Street food is the order of the day. From burgers to bhajis, iced doughnuts to ice cream, hog roast to hotdogs, tapas to tasty pizza, cream cakes to crepes, there will be lots on offer and you can eat it all under cover, with tents on the High Street and seating on straw bales courtesy of our very own farmer Ian Sadler.
Mad Dom is on his way. Mad Dom, the fab, fun children’s entertainer, will be in the High Street from noon…… he might even be on stilts. He’ll be providing entertainment for children and adults from on high and also showing his skills in balloon art. Look out for him – you really can’t miss him!
So who will take the canine throne?
Celebrate with the National Anthem at 1pm at the clock shelter, sung by pupils from Kinver High School. There’s a fantastic performance by the school following on, from their production of the musical Mathilda. Don’t miss discovering what talent we have right here on our doorstep!
There will be plenty to tickle taste buds at our Party. Don’t miss tasty tapas and Pimms from the excellent Bay Tree Restaurant at the heart of the High Street.
Step out in style at our Coronation Party – the Plough & Harrow (the Steps to you and me) are putting on a full programme of live music from 3.30pm. There’s Harry Baylis, Jazz and Dave, Ant Cox, International Misfits, Callum Bradley and special guests!! What a line-up to go with the Bathams.
Bring on the band! Halesowen Brass Band will be performing at around 12.15 and 1.45 by the clock shelter - part of our packed entertainment programme on the day.
Don’t miss the Royal Exchange, Kinver’s newly refurbished pub with a beer garden, at the start of Enville Road. Fun day planned, with an outside bar, live music from 2pm with a BBQ and evening music from 8pm.
Our Coronation Fun Dog Show is coming to town! 3pm on the day. We will be looking for King Dog, Queen Dog and the dog our judge would take to the Palace – among others. More info soon.
