Councillor Jude Harvey
Jude is councillor for Southwick Green alongside councillor Robina Baine
The first Christmas Market in the Square yesterday was amazing. Such a variety of stalls, crowds of people enjoying themselves and perfect weather! Thank you so much Lauren and team for your incredible work. We're looking forward to many events there in 2024.
Cayuga has finally capitulated and will be holding a consultation on their proposed development of the Howard Kent site. This will be on Bank Holiday Monday, and although they were asked to hold it in a convenient, central location they have opted for the Harbour Club on Shoreham Beach. Do try to get there. At least as the consultation is being held there it will be possible, from the other side of the river, to take in the impact this proposal will have. It is a very dense development and the houses on the east side, with no back gardens, back directly on to the lifeboat station and Kingston Beach. The development will obliterate the view from Soldiers Point of the Victorian houses and Downs beyond.
Really interesting to spend time today cycling round Southwick Green ward with TR of Bike Boom shop and Shoreham by cycle. We had a very positive, encouraging discussion about the future of cycling locally .......
Well done Southwick Green ward for making the Platinum Jubilee celebrations so memorable and fun! The wonderful stained glass panels unveiled today are now in the community centre garden as a permanent reminder of this time
Rejoicing last Friday!!
I am honoured that so many peoople voted for me on 5 May. I am also delighted Labour in Adur received more votes than any other party. Thank you.
Wow! Great results for Adur and Worthing on Friday! Phenomenal turnaround for Southwick Green which is now entirely red đź‘Źđź‘Ź.
A big thank you to all who encouraged and supported me and then voted for me.
I'm so looking forward to joining Robina in addressing your hopes and concerns. We’re approachable, available, and want you to know that your views and opinions matter to us.
7 am. Beautiful day in Southwick Green!
Candidates for the 5 May Adur council elections have been asked by the Shoreham by Cycle group to give their views on cycling. I am serious about the environment and know what it’s like to cycle in Southwick. We need safer cycling routes across the district. You can read my answers on the groups website below and read more about Labour’s policies for Adur on cycling and transport here:

Do you live in the Southwick Green ward of Adur District?
