Hawks Netball Club
Formed in Huntingdon in 1988, Hawks Netball Club is a successful and sociable club.
A lovely composed game from H2 against Mission. Defence throughout the court was on point with some lovely court transitions and patient play around the circle edge, with our shooters popping them in!💜

Hawks Black and Hawks Purple, our two U14 teams, braved the rain this weekend for their first games of the season in the Estover Youth League🎉
Hawks Purple supported each other throughout the court to secure a win of 26-16. POM went to Ella W and Umpires POM went to Alice💜
Hawks Black’s scoreline of 12-49 doesn’t reflect the effort and contest of their game, some cracking defence and play on court. POM and Umpires POM went to Anna💜
Another fabulous game for these ladies!! 💜💗

“Hawks 2 have had their fair share of obstacles this season, but these amazing women played their hearts out every game, taking on every challenge thrown their way and the playoffs was no different! Through hard work, injuries, and determination they fought to the very end, we may not have had the final score going our favour but I couldn’t be more proud of every single one of them. 💜 next season is going to be an exciting one, and I can not wait 💪!” - beautifully put by Captain Kirsty 🫶🏼

H1 Captain, Courtney, summarised the 2023/24 season,
“What a fantastic season for H1, 12 wins, 6 losses and a lot of fun! We have had new players join us, a few temporary departures, and some baby hawks welcomed to the world. Finishing up 3rd in our division was a great accomplishment. We have played some lovely teams, learnt a lot and look forward to big things next season.”

Hawks Netball Club
Hawks Netball Club Senior training is on a Wednesday evening at St Ives Outdoor Centre from 7.30-9.00pm. A coaches clinic will run from 7.00-7.30pm to focus on specific elements for both coaches and players, should any members want to come along to work on their personal skills or shooting practice before Club training starts at 7.30pm.
Training is run by certified coaches and combines elements of fitness with specific netball-related skills and drills. We have occasional guest coaches including a wonderful Solo Sessions ran by Sasha Corbin during the 2018-2019 season. We are also are looking to develop further coaches and umpires within the club with mentoring and support available for those members looking to get more involved.
Matches are an integral part of each training session with regular match play evenings and coached match play to provide additional opportunities to develop whole court and team strategies. Competitive matches are played on weekends during the winter season and weekday evenings during summer season.
Winter league is the most competitive season, we have 3 teams playing in Division 4, Division 2 and Premiere league. Players are named to a team at the start of the season but occasionally will be asked to ‘play-up’ to help cover holidays and injuries.
