It may be 2024 now, but the videos are still in the pipeline from last season π
Cadwell is probably the best track I've driven, but I've had some very mixed weekends here! In 2021 I almost wrote the car off, in 2022 I started on pole (...of a reverse grid race, but let's not get into minor details...).
SuperCup were back here in August of last year, check out if it went as badly as the first year or as well as the second...
ROUND 6: Cadwell Park In 2021 I almost destroyed the car at Cadwell running around in the mid-field. in 2022 I started on pole. Did 2023 go any better? ...
Is it July again? Not quite, but the video recaps of this years season are starting to trickle out now there's more time post-season.
Here's a reminder of what happened at Snetterton earlier in the year π§

ROUND 5: Snetterton When we were here in 2022, I had my best qualy result, and then threw it off the road. Will 2023 be any better?! ...
Back in June we headed to Anglesey Circuit / Trac MΓ΄n for Round 4 of the BRSCC Mazda MX-5 SuperCup - check out the weekend summary to see how we got on in some mixed conditions. Definitely a lot of fun as always, and nice to have a home race! π

ROUND 4: Anglesey In June we headed to Wales for Round 4 of the MX5 SuperCup.When we last came here, in 2021, I crashed. This time it can only be better... ...
Well that's Anglesey all done- great to be back here after a year away!
Full race report coming soon- but came away with a couple of decent results with P10 for Race 1, P12 for Race 2, and P9 for Race 3.
Was hoping for a bit more, but at least comparing to when we first came here and the best I could manage was a 17th, 30th, and 29th, it's a definite improvement! π
Race 2 was a load of fun in the wet and despite getting from P13 into P10 I managed to drop it going into T3 towards the end of the race and dropped back to P12. Caught back up to P11 and 10 but needed another lap to try and get past π
π¬ Lots of fun- full race report and video recap coming soon!
Another video- another attempt to make Drew Sutton Photography quit π
At some point this might get easier...
UHHM - Croft Bloopers At some point I'll get used to talking to the camera and not needing 20 takes to say "Welcome to Croft", but until then you can feel sorry for the cameraman....
We may have just raced at Anglesey, but the video from Round 3 at Croft is now live!
I've been very slow in sorting out race footage but it's now live and available to watch (and with the recap of Round 4 at Anglesey well underway- this one won't take a month π
).
ROUND 3 - Croft A first time back to Croft since my first ever MX-5 race back in 2021, it's great to go back and see how I've improved (or not) since then!π₯ Spoiler alert: ...

Race update from Croft coming soon- until then, this is one of the reasons the videos take so long to do. 99% of the footage is me just rambling and forgetting wtf I'm supposed to be saying. π
Talking is HARD - Brands Bloopers Round 2 at Brands was my first go at talking to the camera for a weekend review type thing, and you can see the full, finished video here: π½οΈ https://youtu....
We're into Round 2 of this years championship- previous visits to Brands Hatch have been pretty awful... Has this year been any better? π

ROUND 2: Brands Hatch A recap of the weekend from Round 2 of the 2023 MX-5 SuperCup Championship πAlways love coming to Brands, the racing is ways great but every year I've raced...
One week to go until the next round at Brands Hatch, and a look back to one of the race restarts when we were there last year.
Always love a race at Brands- with a full grid of cars there's always super close racing and normally some chaos to go along with it.
This restart had a bit of both- with a late restart meaning only around 3 laps of racing left it got a bit mental with people trying to make the most of the few laps remaining...
Including me. π€‘
A solid couple of laps avoiding the carnage, just to send it around the outside of turn 1... Too far around the outside. π₯²
Bring on next weekend!

With Silverstone all over and Brands Hatch quickly coming up- here's a little recap of some of the action from the first round π
From here on out I'll be trying something new and doing a vlog style video after each round- not sure how that's going to go but until then here's Silverstone π

A little write-up from Round 1 of the new SuperCup season- racing at Silverstone GP is pretty special but otherwise a bit of a weekend to forget!
Silver lining of coming away without any damage and 3 finishes- plus a fun extra endurance race, but overall the results weren't there.
Brands next month for hopefully some better results!

Silverstone GP Race Report This past weekend we raced at Silverstone GP, competing in both the MX5 SuperCup and the ClubSport Endurance race. It was a challenging weekend with mixed weather, a strong grid of drivers, and a few new faces who have won other championships. We had good pace in testing, but the race weekend presen...
Big thanks to Team LHR for another fantastic year of MX5 Supercup!
These past two seasons have gone so quickly, but the results keep getting better and the team are largely to thank for that.
Now we've got about five months off from racing, I have no idea what to do already and can't wait to get started with season three! π

ClubSport race starts are always good fun- Donington was no exception π¨
Solid start off the line to claim a few positions by turn one, but the lack of power compared to those faster classes was always going to stop us holding onto those positions.
P2 in class after 45 mins racing- not a bad way to end an otherwise pretty forgettable weekend π
A last minute cancellation has freed up a space on the BRSCC ClubSport Trophy grid at Donington, so excited to be taking part in that as well as the regular BRSCC Mazda MX-5 SuperCup races!
An extra 45 minute endurance race with a mixed grid of cars, should be fun!
Roll on September 24-25 π

Cadwell Park Race Report Coming into the final few rounds of my second year of the MX-5 SuperCup, this year has already been a huge improvement on last year. With a really solid weekend at Oulton Park last month, I really wanted to build on that momentum and land some more top ten finishes. Cadwell Park was a painful round....

First time racing at Oulton Park, and first time finishing in the top 10!
Still more to come but it's slowly getting there- check out the race report to see what happened... π
Oulton Park Race Report A first time racing at Oulton Park, and the best results yet since starting in the MX-5 SuperCup!
It's race week!
This Saturday (23 July) we'll be at Oulton Park for 2x 30 minute races- unfortunately it looks like there'll be no official live stream for this weekend but instead you can jump onboard for an in-car live stream for qualifying and both races!
Check out the link below for the live streams for each session.
Provisional timetable:
Qualifying: 0920 - 0940
Race 1: 1330 - 1400
Race 2: 1635 - 1705
It's worth tuning in a little early as the races often run ahead of schedule..hopefully the 4G reception is strong enough at the track for the live stream to work π
Live from Oulton Park On Saturday, 23 July we'll be at Oulton Park for Round 5 of the 2022 MX-5 SuperCup championship. Check out the live stream links below to follow along with qualifying and two thirty-minute races at one of the best tracks in the UK, onboard with car #13.
A first time for driving around Brands Hatch in the dry, this round of the BRSCC Mazda MX-5 SuperCup was a lot less crashy than when we visited here in the wet at the end of the 2021 season!
Check out the race report and footage from the three races last month π₯

Brands Hatch Race Report Brands Hatch was the worst round for me back in 2021, with a terrible qualifying, poor race pace, and a big crash. Returning here in 2022 was a chance to fix past mistakes.
A delayed write up to the Silverstone round of the BRSCC ClubSport Trophy at the Silverstone GP track back in May.
Coming away from the race with a P2 in class was a little bittersweet when the win was there for the taking, but still good fun to race against such a varied grid of cars even if the long straights of Silverstone didn't suit the low-power MX5 very much.
Because of clashes with the MX-5 SuperCup weekends, this will be the last ClubSport race until Donington Park in September- a round that should be a lot of fun with the MX5!

Silverstone GP ClubSport Race Repor As well as racing in the two SuperCup races, this weekend also saw a return to racing the ClubSport Trophy endurance race. A 45 minute race against a huge grid of almost 60 cars around the Silverstone GP track.
