Last year Belmont won in the Lancashire Best Kept Small Village category which moved them into the “Champions League” with other past and present winners. Unfortunately they did not progress into the next round in this year’s competition.

At the recent Awards Ceremony for this year’s Best Kept Village Competition, Belmont Primary School WON in the Outstanding Features (Schools) category and Belmont Diamond Jubilee came RUNNER UP in the Heritage Feature category – congratulations to both of them.

Chapeltown was again entered into this year’s Small Village competition and they finished in 6th place.

We thank both villages for their hard work this year.
