PGL update!
We have packed, had our breakfast, and we are now on our final activities of archery and survivor. It's going to be a fantastic opportunity to work together as a team to create shelters while learning some excellent life skills of knot tying and using a bow and arrow.
We are very much looking forward to seeing you all later!
We've been having a lovely final day of activities. We've been 'en guard' with our fencing skills, flying through the air on the giant swing, hitting the targets with our rifles (or not, in my case), and we are currently testing our limits on the abseiling wall 😁 All we'll have left to do will be our final evening activity, Ambush! (Hide and seek in the dark).
We will be in touch for another update in the morning! Mr W 🙂
Another action packed day here!
We have been on a sensory walk, got speedy on the zip-line, canoed on the lake and tackled the challenge course.
Everyone has given each activity their Personal Best - which is wonderful to see.
We are just back from toasting marshmallows round a campfire!
Will our last full day tomorrow be able to top that...?
PGL update! Good afternoon😀We're having a great first day of activities, starting with a coastal walk and raft building. We're now finishing off our afternoon activities of trapeze and orienteering. I think we'll sleep well tonight 😁
We're all settled at PGL having had a tour of the grounds, time to unpack and a lovely bit of katsu curry or lasagne (or if you're Mr Birbeck, both!). We are now enjoying a lovely evening's activity of quizzing. Here's to a quiet night... See you in the morning!😁 Mr W
Don't forget Friday 18th November is 'Break the Rules Day' for Children in Need.
We are recommending a donation of 50p per broken rule as a ‘fine’ for breaking a school rule!

2. crazy hair
3. coloured hair (colour spray that is not permanent)
4. socks inside out
5. wearing slippers in school
6. wearing make-up
7. wearing nail varnish
8. wearing clothes inside out
9. wearing a temporary tattoo
10. squash or juice instead of water
11. bring a cuddly toy/pencil case into school (and have it on your desk!)
12. wear your PJs for the day
A few new additions for our EYFS and KS1 topics later this year and some top-ups for the KS2 passports.
Keep your eyes peeled for ‘Book Fair‘ information coming soon!
Mr B
A very busy last full day which involved a sensory walk, archery, buggy building and the trapeze. Again the children have showed incredible resilience.
We’ve still got ambush tonight, which we are very excited about. Then, it will be time to pack…so get those laundry baskets ready.
What great fun we had, and the children loved it once Mrs James and I had finished! 😂
The children have been zip lining, solving problems, completed the challenge course and had a go on the giant swing.
They are now having some free time before they take part in the evening activity - Splash.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our coastal walk yesterday afternoon, beautiful views and some amazing facts about Bawdsey Manor. Rafting was brilliant fun, with all the children taking part and going out onto the river in their rafts. I joined a group and they didn’t sink - thankfully. But the instructor kindly splashed us all as a reward for staying dry!!
We are all up, and very much looking forward to what today has to bring. Ready to put our best effort into the challenges and activities.
We were up bright and early this morning, all ready for our 8am breakfast. Then we have tackled Jacob‘s Ladder (with many making it all the way to the top!) and given fencing a try. Superb effort from all this morning, very much looking forward to rafting and a walk on the beach this afternoon.
We have had a wonderful time so far. All the children are unpacked, with beds made (yes really). We have had some free time around the beautiful grounds and just enjoyed our first meal.
We are now waiting for our evening activity of Sports Night! This includes rounders, football and dodgeball.
Children are just enjoying lunch and are all excited to get aboard the coach for the start of our week's residential.
I will post using both platforms (Facebook and Latest News on the school website) again throughout the week.
Mr B
Be sure to join us tomorrow for our Summer Fayre! ☀️
