Witney Town Magazine
The Witney Town Magazine is a community title launched in 2021 to promote and highlight the very best of Witney, Oxfordshire.
We are pleased to be part of a new special Oxfordshire bus ticket, which offers unlimited travel on nearly all local services. The MyBus Oxfordshire ticket offers passengers daily travel around the county, covering most routes and operators, for a fixed price. It means that one ticket, costing £6.50 a day for adults or £3.50 a day for under-19s, gives you unlimited access to more than 150 bus services run by 12 operators in Oxfordshire. The offer has been developed by a partnership between Oxfordshire County Council and the county’s bus companies to promote the use of bus services with funding provided by central government. More info can be found here - https://news.oxfordshire.gov.uk/almost-unlimited-bus-travel
Amidst all the fun yesterday, Jade, Lou and volunteers for Witney and West Oxfordshire Food Bank were outside Sainsbury's for their monthly food drive. People were very generous! If you'd be interested in volunteering, please email Jade: [email protected]

3 great bands in 1 great night!
DRESSED TO KILL - The KISS tribute band are the world's longest-running tribute to KISS - and since 1990 they've played clubs and theatres throughout the UK, Europe, Scandinavia, and in Japan, replicating with scary accuracy the look & sound of a KISS show, right down to between-song chatter (in accent). A 2-hour set of hits & classics, bloodspitting, firebreathing and special fx. So close is their representation that they've been engaged on numerous occasions by KISS to promote CD and DVD releases and tours since 1993; and were asked to be featured performers in 'Gene Simmons: Rock School' by the 'Demon' himself!
After a show stealing debut last year, the triumphant return of Popestars - A Tribute to Ghost -performing pop hymns recorded by Ghost that glorify and glamorise the disgusting and sacrilegious.
SOULWEAVER, one of the best independent UK rock bands of the early 2010's are back and better than ever! Sharing festival bills with acts such as Black Star Riders, The Quireboys, FM and supporting acts including Wishbone Ash and Alabama 3

Congratulations to Lee Woodley for winning May 2024's Manager of the Month!
Lee is manager to Victoria who is a Business Admin Apprentice for Digital iD. Victoria's assessor, Sheila gave the following nomination:
“Lee is very supportive of Victoria, providing a calm and steady presence she can rely on. He attends every meeting and inputs ideas on how Victoria can develop her skills and confidence, reassuring her when she doubts herself and highlighting her achievements.
Lee provides hands-on support by reviewing her assignments and suggesting ways to develop her understanding further. He oversees her progression with a view to her becoming a long-term employee, embedding necessary skills methodically.
Lee makes it very clear that the company want Victoria to learn as much as she can from her apprenticeship and to enjoy working for Digital iD. I think Lee is an ideal apprentice manager, as he believes in the qualification, in learning, in development across a broad range of skills and in the apprenticeship as a pathway to future employment within the organisation.”
