Reflecting on last week- busy, fulfilling and really humbling. 🥰

A week spent helping our lovely customers get urgent deliveries from A to B, assisting amazing local charities who support the community we live in, and a really kind mention on BBC Kent radio from the lovely Kelly who’s behind the Toy Appeal.

A diverse week that really warmed our hearts ❤️

It was our pleasure to help collect and deliver toys donated by wonderful fundraisers on behalf of Dartford Deeds not Words Foundation this week. 🚚 📦

The Dartford Toy appeal recently celebrated 10 years of giving, and last year the appeal collected more than 2500 gifts.

The toy appeal runs until the 10th December and below is a list of who they collect for:

We had the absolute pleasure to help this fantastic foundation today.

Every year Danni & Co give up something for a month to raise money to buy toys at Christmas. Huge congratulations to Danni & everyone involved this year, who managed to raise £1000 to spend on toys.

We dropped them all to We Are Beams in Swanley this afternoon 🥰

We were very humbled and privileged yesterday to visit the Dartford Food Bank, slightly earlier than we had anticipated. Why you ask, well at the moment they are in desperate need for supplies. Many individuals and families within our community will be struggling this festive season.

Unfortunately, what we delivered yesterday sadly won’t last more than a week. The Food Bank sees between 90-130 in need visitors coming through their doors every Tuesday. When we reached out to Steve to identify if or what they needed, he sent the below text, which was sincerely telling:

“Yes please!!! That is an answer to our prayers, whatever you can supply is beneficial. Our shelves are getting very bare as demand has increased and donations have been lower this year, as more people are struggling. Whatever you guys can do will be a blessing as always.”

The purpose of this post is to simply raise awareness. We absolutely appreciate that times are tough for so many, and more and more people are experiencing the financial pinch. Donating to local food banks could really make a difference to so many in need during this period, and any donations will be warmly welcomed.
