I think we’ll be doing “Hot” Pilates this evening!! We will be downstairs though which will be cooler and I will bring fans 🫠

Happy National Pilates Day!

Pilates was developed by Joseph Pilates in the 20th Century. It was originally called ‘Contrology’. It taught controlling your muscles with your mind by focusing attention on core postural muscles that provide spinal support and keep the body balanced.
Pilates was designed to teach breath awareness, spinal alignment and abdominal strength. Joseph believed that there was a relationship between mental and physical health so he developed exercises designed to strengthen the body and the mind.

Top Time is our regular social group for adults in the local community. This week we have a treat in store as the lovely Killi is coming to give a taster session of chair based exercises to keep you fit and flexible whatever your level of mobility!
Killi is a qualified physiotherapist so you know you will be in very good hands. As it is funded by our wonderful Friends group, the session is free to attend and includes refreshments and some time for a natter. The suggested donation, as always, is just £2!

It’s been a good week for me. It started with doing a bit of Vestibular training for some of the therapists at the hospital, Newmarket on Monday and Bury on Tuesday. Flying the Vestibular Flag!!
Great Pilates classes this week with my lovely ladies and gents. Next up Alchemy Aesthetics Women’s Health Event tomorrow, please come and say hello 😊

Looking forward to shadowing an amazing Vestibular physio colleague tomorrow. Every day is a school day 😊
