The successful candidate will be skilled at installing heating systems and completing boiler changes independently, identifying and resolving heating issues in residential and commercial environments. An excellent communicator, the successful candidate will also be able to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.

Requirements:

🔧Able to carry out the installation of central heating systems.
🔧Able to carry out Boiler Changes.
🔧Able to identify and resolve residential heating problems.
🔧Able to service and repair heating systems.
🔧Able to troubleshoot heating systems.
🔧General Plumbing knowledge is desirable.
🔧Up to date CCN1, WAT1, CPA1 & CN1.
🔧Minimum 5 years experience.

Benefits:

🔥Salary range £40k-£50k depending on experience
🔥Range of Summer/Winter uniform supplied with our brand on plus a choice of safety shoe.
🔥Christmas bonus with incentives across the year

Beautiful morning for fitting a plume diverter kit to an existing installation☀️

Top work from our engineer, ensuring the flue gas fumes are diverted away to a more appropriate position for this lovely customers home 🏠

With this cold weather comes our most common reason for call outs… Frozen condensate pipes 🥶

Condensate pipes lead the acidic waste water created by the boiler recycling heat from the flue gases out of your property safely.
When the temperature drops the pipes outside can freeze and cause a blockage. This is when your boiler will stop working as it try’s to stop the waste water from building up and flooding.

Our top tips for resolution and prevention…

🧊Locate the pipe and pour hot water (not boiling as this could cause damage to the pipe) over it, this could take a few times to work depending on the size of the blockage

🔥Use lagging (foam insulation) around the condensate pipe to help prevent the water from freezing
🔥Check on the pipe throughout the year for wear and tear
🔥 Ensure the pipe is at least 32mm wide especially if the pipe is located in an external area such as the garden, loft or garage. Call us to upgrade your pipe if necessary to prevent future problems

Billy came straight out of school and into his apprenticeship with us, learning all the tricks of the trade from the other lads. It won’t be long until he’s a fully fledged Plumbing and Heating Engineer.

He enjoys going to the gym, watching football and is particularly fond of his new Mini, having recently passed his driving test.
