If you are or if you know a young person who wants to have their voice heard, contact us about joining a Youth Voice Group.
Youth voice groups – such as Youth Forum, Somerset In Care and Leaving Care Councils (SiCC and SLCC), The Unstoppables, Youth Parliament and Young Carers Voice – are important forums where you get to have a say, to challenge and to influence decisions and processes that affect or are important to you and other young people growing up in Somerset today, whilst making new friends and having some fun at the same time.
You will be supported to do this by participation workers from the Participation and Engagement Team at Somerset County Council who will help you to develop confidence and skills such as leadership, public speaking, decision making and negotiating that will help you in the groups as well as in your everyday life.
