Airing cupboard ceiling repaired and easi-filled ready for decorating after my customer put their foot through the ceiling 🙈
Basic cupboard/unit built to surround consumer unit and alarm boxes. Filled and caulked, ready for customer to decorate along with new coving up to unit.
Kitchen installed for my good friend in Rochester. My friend is installing the doors, plinths and pelmet/cornices. I made a small custom 200 unit next to the boiler cupboard out of the spare wood from the project which worked out lovely. I also spent some time tidying up the leaking and messy pipework beneath the boiler so that it would be watertight and not seen when the sink unit and boiler cupboards were installed, also allowing the splashback to be tiled easily by my friend.
New extractor fan fitted to downstairs toilet. There was no other place it could be vented to outside so I opted for a low level position next to the toilet that worked a treat
Lovely, common blockage in an old gravity fed central heating system in the feed/vent pipe to the heating system. I removed and replaced the pipework, refilled the system with Inhibitor, balanced the radiators, fitted new TRv sets and new drain off c**k washers to prevent any future issues in draining the system.
Beautiful complete bathroom In Leigh, Tonbridge, including herringbone tiles, niches, deck lights, underfloor heating, all waste and soil pipework concealed under the floor, reinforced and levelled floor to take tiles, mirror with radio and LEDs, completely plastered and decorated, levelling out of wonky studwall.
This was a little revamp/polish of an old HansGrohe shower valve. When carrying out some work to the bathroom I could not source a new handle and plate as the manufacturer no longer make them. I think this 20-25 year old valve came up lovely to match the new shower riser rail previously fitted.
This was hardwork on my own 😂 but I survived the various risks, such as some dodgy ladder positions 😳 Beautiful property to work on. Completely redecorated and windows cleaned and painted too.
New condensate pump fitted to boiler system in East Malling after previous one failed
Complete bathroom in Tonbridge, there had been lots of previous water damage due to bad installation previously with this job. I reinforced and over boarded ceiling, repaired the floor, repaired and levelled the atrocious walls, plastered throughout and tiled, heavy duty lino and beautiful Calypso units and worktop/basin, custom window board and stud behind units. New downlights and extractor fan. Customer to decorate
A few radiators run for my good friend in Rochester
Various radiators fitted in Kemsing, some tricky elements at this job, system balanced and feeds taken from existing radiator flow and return to new kick space heater in kitchen.
Job in Borough Green removing old bath and screen, repairing walls behind bath, building boxing and fitting new tray, screen and shower riser kit.
I identified problems with this unvented installation when searching for a leak that a well known company had missed and bodged. There were various leaking pipes that I repaired whilst fitting a new cylinder block with a lever isolation, pressure gauge and proper outlet pipe from the pressure relief as opposed to the dangerous, folded/kinked flexible connector that had been used. The whole cylinder also needed draining and refilling to return it to full working condition with its built in expansion device. Full pressure was restored and no more leaks present
Custom shed built with composite cladding. Fascias and door to be added.
Old leaking shower replaced with floor repaired and reinforced, as well as walls being repaired where required and redecorated. Large corner boxing removed and pipework altered to allow a free corner. Shower panels and Karndean LVT flooring fitted.
Downstairs toilet/cloakroom in Borough Green, removal of extractor fan in ceiling and installation of extractor to toilet to extract at source, new vanity unit and splashback, new toilet pan with electrical heated bidet seat, new wall accessories and access behind toilet to reach extractor and cistern.
Removal of whole leaking shower enclosure. New enclosure fitted with shower boards and like for like electric shower. Leaking toilet replaced and made good in upstairs toilet room.
Whole bathroom completed but not decorated by me. A host of problems were identified when removing this bathroom. However, all were fixed and repaired to give a lovely finish with beautiful hexagonal floor tiles. Customer decided to pick modular furniture as opposed to the recommended fitted furniture but it worked out ok
Replacement Pentagonal shower enclosure fitted along with new downlights, resealing of shower, new outside tap, new basin tap bodies and rewiring faulty connection in mirror light
Tall radiators removed with new normal radiator fitted under bay, balanced and refilled with inhibitor
Radiator removed and capped off where pipes can’t be seen. New flow and return for new radiator taken off of radiator in adjoining room and fitted with new drain off. I cleaned the F and E tank in the loft before draining to prevent the build up of sludge entering the system and causing a problem, (this should be standard practice in an old system). Whole system balanced upon refilling.
En-Suite installed in Leigh for 2 of my favourite customers who I have worked for for over 10 years. Pentagonal enclosure fitted to create nice spacious room, with tiled floors and wall, low profile tray, new downlights and extractor fan and modular furniture
Replacement indirect cylinder in Leigh. I took this opportunity to mark up each pipe for the future and fit new lever valves to allow easy future isolation. I also altered a number of faulty pipes that hadn’t been run properly, including the vent and feed pipes from the cleaned f and e tank
Exposed shower valve replaced with like for like model in Blackham. Previous valve had been installed poorly/wonky and sealed through the wall badly. I took this opportunity to seal the new one through the wall properly.
Large bathroom project for a very well respected architect in Borough Green. This was a tricky job but it all came together In the end. Double thickness acoustic plasterboard used along with acoustic insulation, flash gaps as opposed to arcitraves, reversed skirtings internally in the bathroom, custom full height door and door liner with acoustic seals all the way around, custom mdf units with soft close hinges, plinth height matching the reversed skirting, low level tray and Heavy Duty Lino flooring, his/her towel radiators with immersions and external programmer for summer heating, downlights, extractor fan, Bidet toilet with heated seat and a custom fan I fitted to extract smells from the point of entrance/exit 😳, reinforced terribly condition and wonky ceiling before overboarding, plastering and decorating throughout, (I realise the colour isn’t to everyone’s taste but my client was really happy with it which is what matters), bedroom decorated throughout in the same colour to customers spec, PVCu windows cleaned up and new handles installed to give them a new lease of life.
New bathroom units fitted to replace old close coupled toilet and basin/pedestal. This job included removing the old vinyl floor, reinforcing the damp damage from the wc and basin, and fitting new vinyl.
Cloakroom Units fitted to utilise storage and space better. The washing machine and tumble dryer switched positions, with pipework altered to allow them to sit back further. I also fixed them properly to stop them creeping out. New Karndean LVT flooring laid and small shelves built under worktop for extra storage.
Old Gravity fed system removed and new
Worcester Combi boiler fitted with full system flush and rebuilding/plastering/decorating of boxing to conceal pipework. New condensate pipe run in correct size pipe to gully.
Large bathroom project in Borough Green. The existing bathroom had been installed badly consequently leading to a cracked shower tray that leaked for years. I repaired the floor and rebuilt the partition wall to allow the door frame to be moved to where I wanted it to allow for a nice sized shower. Shower panels fitted and fitted furniture, with a tiled floor and walls. I repaired to the right of the door that had been massacred behind the old stud and repaired the floor in the hall and laid new luxury quality laminate flooring with underlay and matching door trims. Aquabion water softener and mains water pump fitted to improve water flow and softness.
