Phebe has decades of experience as an independent artist, an established backing vocalist and vocal coach.
She is able to share her vocal knowledge, skill and experience with others like her, who endeavour to embark on the same or similar journey.

MVYV officially started around 2012 after several musicians and singers, simply asked Phebe 'How do you do that?'

She spent time sharing her skills and techniques with people and started teaching 1-2-1 & group sessions in a venue in North London.

Phebe says,
'My Voice Your Voice is literally that! Sharing my voice with you, and showing you, bit by bit, how I vocally approach singing different genres, maintain my voice and approach performances'

Phebe has experienced singing with a variety of artists:
James Brown, Gabrielle, Kylie Minogue, Jessie J, Years & Years, Sissel Kyrkjebo, Stormzy, Pitingo Soularia to name a few, ..... but each of these artists required a
very different vocal approach.

Phebe had to adapt her technique and ability to blend and support these artists with very different requirements.

Phebe enjoys teaching and also says,
'Hove the feeling of knowing that I've helped another singer, with a variety of lifelong supporting techniques for their singing career.
Im also aiding singers to be able to express themselves through song with the right techniques but with a satisfying rewarding outcome.
This then leads to being able to communicate your intended emotions through song!'

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of BGG's great friend and family member, the great, loyal, loving, talented, generous, big hearted, fun loving, caring, smiling, joy filled, sensitive, bass playing genius, Father of his two beautiful girls, Husband to his beautiful wife Christina, Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Friend and Legend, Joel Grant, known affectionately as 'Joey'.

Joey was 'one of a kind', BGG has been blessed over many years to have Joey's big hearted, loving, gifted support. He would arrive to every gig with the biggest smile and he would leave with the biggest smile, creating many smiles, laughter, bringing joy, love and laughter to every concert. To say we will miss him is an understatement. Feeling lost for words right now, we just want to send love, respect and our deepest condolences to Joey's friends and family and let them know that we will be forever grateful to have experienced Joey's joy, now his legacy.

May you rest in eternal peace Joey, knowing you were deeply loved, valued, appreciated and revered. Thank you for the great times shared, little did we know just how precious they would be.

At the end of 2019, we three BGG Committee members (Jan, Sara and Tess) felt that we needed to officially recognise all the work and dedication Louise Channon (BGG's Creative Director/Producer/Committee member) gave to the running of BGG. We thought long and hard about an appropriate and official award with the intent of presenting her with it on the 5th December, 2020 (the day that we were supposed to have our Grand Finale Concert). We found out in 2020, that our nomination had been accepted and that Lou had been selected as a 'Medalist' for the British Citizen Award for her contribution to the community. This afternoon, Lou will be going to the Palace of Westminster, London where she will be officially presented with her medal and placed on the British Citizen Award roll of honour. We want to share this special celebration with you all (more photos to follow!)
Louise Channon, you gave your heart, soul and time to the running of Brighton Goes Gospel and without your devotion and dedication, the choir would have ceased to have run for the time that it did. You have given so many people a sense of belonging, hope, friendship and memories through singing together. We love you, admire you and most of all...we thank you # # #
