Age 7

Little Chanel is such a loyal sweet loving soul. She is a brilliant terrier but defensive towards strangers people and dogs. You have to work out how to introduce and win her trust as usually ways ain't going to work and she'll nip your calf. When you break through her concern and she feels safe she is fully trusting. This is why it is difficult to home Chanel as a neighbour's outstretched hand in friendship, an off lead dog making a beeline or and risk of her getting out of a lower window or door will put her life in jeopardy.

Within our Rescue she has proved herself in so many ways. She is settled when left but gets very worried with thunder or a strange noise raising her concern. When running around the garden and paddocks she she very obedient recall

Chanel has about 7 people who she trusts and she recognises her special people in any context.

Oliver is homed 🎈 🥳 🎈 🥳 Ernie (now Oliver) is doing well with Smokey Joe the cat a little way to go but has coped with with parents' cats who told him who was boss.

Toby has the playful energy and youthful looks of a much younger dog. This friendly and affectionate little dog is a favourite among his walkers.

Tika is homed 🎈 🥳 🎈 🥳 Lauren and Sebastian came today with "Mum" Vannella and their daughter Sienna

They were already head over heels in love with Tika and he convinced them totally on meeting

Kobi's Story: Kobi was found tied up on an estate and he was left there all day. His finder eventually decided to take him home at night to find no chip and no one searching for him or reports to the dog warden. He bought him into ourselves after 2 weeks as his cats were unhappy having him around and no other rescue space could be found .
•Kobi wears a muzzle out in public .

Romanian Shepherd
2 years old
Loki's Story: Loki was bought over in May 21 from Romania by a Rescue. He was abandoned in kennels and came to us Nov 22.

Loki is a beautiful, gentle boy who has some initial nerves around new people and surroundings but with some reassurance soon relaxes, makes friends and enjoys his walks.

• He walks nicely on the lead but can occasionally be strong and isn't bothered by traffic.
• Loki likes other dogs and is currently sharing his kennel another dog he has bonded with and who is is helping him to grow in confidence.

•Not to be homed with children

•Loki is a sweet boy, with a calm nature who, with love, time and understanding to help him settle, will make a wonderful companion to the right family.

•Loki needs to live with another dog .

Mika is available for adoption

Mika is our much loved Bedlington Terrier Cross who recently turned 13. He is now our oldest resident. We are still hopeful that his forever home will come along. There is so much life left in this dear older boy. So much love to give. Lets make 2024 the year for Mika to finally find his home.

Rio is homed🎉

Kara and Bob and parents took little Rio in and were delighted how well he settled in with their big dogs!

Today they smile yes...they are offering him safety and security forever and he can unpack his little suitcase and put his favourite pictures up on his bedroom wall!

Michele and Erik have always rescued and today they came to meet Timmy and he didn't disappoint. They are both very excited to have Timmy in their lives...

LOLA Homed!

Dean, Hayley and Leo their son arrived with Dean's parents to view this rather wonderful lady. Her emotionally was evident and her self-determination as she dug her paws in walking through the carpark was clear. She was "pully" initially but once past her car park barriers and away from cars she walked well checking on everyone in her 'walking pack' as she does.

ENTER Shanga the families' equivalent aged female Shepherd who is nearly half the size again as little 'compact' Lola. They met first either side of the paddock's fencing and then walked together and were soon shoulder to shoulder. They enjoyed being together to everyone's relief.

Rosie is homed 🎈💕🎉
Stephanie and Phil came back from holiday so ready to help their next Rescue Doggie. They saw Rosie in the on the Coming Soon section of the forum whilst on holiday and submitted the application form the day they arrived home. Today they met and really got a sense of her timidness and joyous nature and how she employed them in different settlings.

Boo is a lovely girl .Very loving with her walkers that know her .

We are hoping her new family will recognise all Boo asks for is a quiet life with her immediate family and is happy to be put away when visitors come unless she has been slowly introduced in a way she can build trust and acceptance. She came from a very busy home with 4 children including babies and wasn't able to meet her needs. She now has had a few months where she has excelled and is a cuddle bum.

Older girl of 9

Casey's Story: Casey was found abandoned in a house for 2 days in 2016 when her owner did a moonlight flit. She was rehomed through a Rescue Centre soon after. Sadly her owner has develop acute onset Dementia and the family have had her in kennels but have now surrendered her into our care.

Casey needs her retirement home now .She is doing well with other dogs and needs patient owner to give her time to settle after all she has gone though and not to over fuss at first .She easy to walk .

Jack Russell Terrier - Age 10

Buster has been on foster with our volunteer. Here is an update:

This adorable munchkin has been with us for two weeks – what a lovely pooch!

He’s great to have around. When at home, he loves nothing more than a good snooze, either on you or on the sofa, and lots of cuddles. He also likes to potter around in the garden. And he also likes to play with his toys for brief sessions, here and there. He’s now eating very well and has a good appetite, especially in the evening.

He travels well in the car – you kind of forget he’s there. We went to a garden centre yesterday and he was so well behaved - he loved sniffing all the different pots.

He walks well on a lead – in the video it looks like he’s going really fast, but he’s actually walking right next to me and I was walking quite slowly.

He doesn’t mind traffic at all – and I’m talking a lot of traffic here! He doesn’t mind other dogs, as long as they don’t get too close.

He’s great with people and he’s happy to take cuddles from anyone.
We really hope that Buster finds his retirement sofa very soon!

Olive was abandoned and overdue in a North West council pound. She has 'micro eye' - a genetic condition where one eye is much smaller than the other.

Sunny is available for adoption
Sunny is 11 years old. He had been owned since a puppy but Sunny's family emigrated and couldn't take him with them.
Sunny has been on foster and is doing really well 😊
✅ Sunny loves a cuddle and a belly rub, he really wants to be a good boy and is very bright.
✅ It turned out Sunny was crate trained, so he now sleeps happily in his crate in the bedroom at night.
✅ He is an absolute poppet indoors.
✅ Outdoor sausage training
continues, we are not yet at the end goal of no lead ragging, but Sunny is trying hard and does love his walks.
✅ Sunny has really settled into his daily routine..I don't get much done as he loves to snuggle and now he loves to play tug of war with his favourite toy (I am honoured ).
✅ He is happy to have his head stroked, ears massaged etc and I have cut a few matted curls off his face.
✅ He doesn't make a fuss when I leave him home alone.
🧡 Overall this gorgeous boy has blossomed! 🧡
Sunny is obviously loving his time in foster. But he still needs his forever home as soon as possible.

Elaine and Steve were eager beavers arriving an hour early which turned out to be perfect timing. I opened the back of the dog mobile and there was their boy straight back from the vets after vaccination neutered and MOT.
