🫖😹🌲Teapots, cats and Christmas! It's been quite a busy morning, lots of Sheffield coasters, Christmas cards and some art prints (woop!)

🌲 Tomorrow is my first Christmas fair if the season! (As you can tell from my expression, I'm excited about this!) I've got my newly arrived Sheffield coasters and magnets to show so looking forward to it!
It's in Totley and is a nice little local one in the Methodist church hall from 1030-330 and will be full of local makers and a great chance to start Christmas shopping! (Also it's on the bus/ train line to Sheffield so you can pop to town afterwards and visit my buddies at ! )

We have a cornucopia of cards and gifts here at All Good Stuff on Arundel Street in . Handmade ceramics, jewellery, glass, wood, textiles and more - and prints and paintings and original designs by local artists and makers. 🏄It's cold, dark and miserable in the UK right now, so here's a very warm colourful California map illustration! This I'll be in Carlsbad. (Ok no I'm not but this is a commission I completed in the summer 🌞)
It was a huge monster of a map a couple of metres wide so the client could print it on a window. There's loads of details here from the more obvious (surfing and hiking) to attractions like Legoland and a designer shopping centre.

🌞A gorgeous sunny day to be out and about in Sheffield. Here's a section of my Sheffield outdoor city map featuring lots of outdoor activities like cycling, visiting the parks or parkrun! (I did my third in a row with my buddy so feeling pretty chuffed with myself!)

🌲Ho ho ho! This is a post about Christmas markets! I've got 2 Sheffield Christmas markets coming up and I'd love it if you'd visit my stall. The first is super local (to me!) in Totley and it's Saturday 18th November. Then it's on to Kelham island Victorian Christmas market on the 2nd and 3rd December.

🫖Wow that's crept up on me, I now have 10 Sheffield teapot designs! (And at least 2 more incoming!) I thought I'd make use of the sunshine today and take a group photo of my coasters!

❄️ Throwback Thursday to Sheffield in snow! Despite my extreme dislike of winter (& snow!) it's very pretty to look at and a good backdrop to my Narnia illustration. Anyone else remember the 1980s BBC adaptation and that title music! Available in my Etsy shop as a print and card.

🍄Happy spooky day everyone! My favourite thing about my things go bump in the night illustration is possibly the toadstools (or the owls!) I think it works as a card for anyone who likes a bit of a gothic fairytale anytime of the year.

🍾Happy illustration anniversary to me! It's my 2 year anniversary of being a full time illustrator. I do love working for myself and creating almost all the time...Just to add, I'm in no way boasting or being smug (you could say it's not the easiest way of making a living and I have lots less money than when I worked part time too) It doesn't make you any better or worse artist for working as well. I had a couple of amazing illustration jobs at the same time and thought I'd give it a go and I'm still doing that!

🐱Happy caturday and in particular happy . Here's my muse (mews!) with the character of mine she inspired, Space Kitty. It's so sad 🐈‍⬛ are often the last to get adopted when they make such wonderful pets (oh and they look like mini panthers too!)

🍁 Greetings cards back in stock in an extremely soggy meersbrook including this autumnal beauty. This design is over 10 years old but I still really love it (it's a mixture of the retro colours and rabbit 🐇!) Stay dry everyone! (Unlike me who stood in a massive deep puddle and squelched home yuk!)

🚗Today I did a very short tour of a handful of the Sheffield city centre bonnets with the team from . One of those bonnets was mine!
📸Here's me not looking the right way and saying a fond farewell to my mural design (in Marks and Spencers food court in Fargate no less, right near the desserts!) They are on display for the next week at locations (mostly) in the city centre including the station, library, millennium galleries and the botanical gardens.

🦋A week or so ago (when it was still warm and sunny 😭🌞) I visited Hillsborough and the Walled Gardens. It's become one of my favourite outside drawing spots in Sheffield with all the gorgeous flowers, the fountain and that colourful wall! Unfortunately it shut pretty early, so I had to draw my view from the other side of the gate, whilst the squirrels and magpies skipped around uninterrupted.

🍂Brrr it's definitely starting to feel like autumn. Here's my most autumnal Sheffield teapot, my illustration of endcliffe park featuring tea drinkers, ducks, cyclists and queen victoria! Available in my Etsy shop as a card, coaster and print.

🍁 Gloriously sunny autumn walk today through limb brook, forge dam and endcliffe park. On route we spotted the 2 illustrated signs I created for the Friends of Porter Valley earlier on this year encouraging park users to keep to the paths. It's nice to see them in use and the grass popping up behind them!

🐟 Yesterdays seaside location was... Whitby! Throwback Thursday to a couple of weeks ago when we were mooching around the old town, harbour and beach. I really miss those seaside sounds and salty smells! (Used to live in Brighton!)
Here's a sketch I did of the bridge. There always seemed to be a seagull there! (Maybe it was it's job!?)

⛵Tea by the sea! You know when you should probably be doing something else but you've got a bee in your bonnet about an idea for an illustration? Well this happened to me over the last day or so (I've had a cold!) and I started working on a new Yorkshire teapot, set by the seaside.
☕Guess where it is?! There's a harbour, an abbey, boat trips and lots of steps!(oh and I went there about a week ago 😂)

🌞Where's this little swift off to? (Hopefully my Etsy shop!) I'm so happy my shop is back open so time to get listing! I've now got a little range of British wildlife illustrations so could do a multi pack too!

🐿️ Happy Saturday! Hope you've got some autumn adventures like this little red squirrel! She's in the current issue of the Wild Times magazine ( children's magazine). I used our local woods, ecclesall woods as inspiration for the forest!

🐦 Throwback Thursday to a couple of weeks ago when I did a big illustration stock drop off in Sheffield city centre. Check out my greetings card wall! It's pretty vast and full of teapots and my little swifts that I created for the S17 and Totley swifts group. The shop is staffed by the artists and open Tuesday to Saturday 11-4. Also there's some great new artists too, shout out to whose gorgeous artwork is also in stock!

🧛‍♀️ Doodle time from a gorgeously sunny (if a little bit nippy!) Whitby beach a couple of days ago. Lovely place, so relaxing, historic and cute. I've done 2 views, the couple with the pier and the headland and beach huts. Despite living in Brighton for several years I've not drawn the sea that much and it's v v hard to draw! The light is stunning as is the scenery.

🐦Today I saw my first ever kingfisher! It was extremely quick and dinky but you couldn't miss that flash of blue over the pond! So exciting, I'll have to keep my eyes peeled in whirlow more often. Sadly he wasn't posing on a sign like the little bird I drew a few years back, but he did look very cute!
