Just because an action hasn’t been unhealthy in the past, doesn’t mean it won’t become one in the future.
Always check-in with yourself and notice when your mindset shifts.
We are not a finished product and we’re constantly evolving.
Tired of feeling tired??
Do you not have energy to train??
Let’s change that.
Checking-in with yourself and putting a figure on the level of tiredness can really help you get moving.
As you do this more often you will get to know yourself better and your body.
Let me know how you get on with this method 💪🏼
Don’t pay for information.
Pay for implementation.
This is what coaches are for.
You know what you need to do but you’re not doing it.
If you invest in a coach and put your money where your goals are, you’re much more likely to succeed!
Get your mindset right.
You must have heard the saying that discipline beats motivation every day.
Which is true but if you can’t get moving in the first place it’s not particularly helpful.
To become disciplined you need to understand what your internal motivators are.
This little exercise will help you to do that.
Is your metabolism broken from flying?
Is that possible?!
First of all being “in shape”
means something different to everyone and will look different on everyone.
If you focus on;
Improving your strength and fitness 💪🏼
Eating nutritious food most of the time 🍎
Drinking plenty of water💧
Improving your mobility🧘🏼♀️
Getting quality sleep 😴
Avoiding stressful relationships 😖
Then you will be a healthy human.
Being a Flight Attendant makes all of the above more difficult.
It is harder to improve strength and fitness when you’re tired and jet lagged- but not impossible.
It is harder to eat nutritious food when you’re tired and when you arrive late and you’re surrounded by fast food options only , but it’s not impossible.
It is harder to get enough quality rest, but there are things you can do to improve the sleep you are getting.
The crew life makes all aspects of life a little more stressful.
BUT
Becoming a flight attendant wasn’t easy.
The recruitment process is long and difficult to pass. But you passed.
The crew training is stressful and a lot to remember. But you passed.
If you were able to do what many haven’t to land the job you dreamed of then you can do what needs to be done alongside the crew lifestyle to be healthy.
Health = In Shape
Yes it’s hard but it’s not impossible.
I was lost with my health & fitness when I started flying, but you don’t have to be.

Do you need to eat on a night flight as a Flight Attendant…??
Some of you won’t like this answer….
Technically NO.
Your body slows down at night time due to our Circadian Rhythm.
Operating night flights causes a little confusion with our circadian rhythm.
Being tired also makes us feel more hungry as our body is low on energy.
Have a plan on your night flight and stick to it.
Have your snacks and food prepared before your flight and don’t give in to your body craving chocolate. This is your fatigue talking.
Sit with the urge and it will pass. I promise.
Let me know if this is something you struggle with.
📲
You’re not the problem.
Trying to make big changes all at once is extremely overwhelming and hard to stick to.

Feeling that January motivation. Awesome!!
Lean into it.
Use this feeling to put things in place that you can do consistently for a long time!!

Slow progress is better than no progress 💪🏼
What are you going to get done in the next year???
What did you not spend enough time doing in 2023??
Spend some time reflecting and planning and you won’t feel so lost come January!
First Christmas with the pooch 🐶
He had no idea what was going on but he got lots more cuddles and company for a few days, so I think Winston is a fan of Christmas 🎅🏼
Even took him for his first visit to Lands end with my old man📍
Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas 🥰
Surviving Christmas as Cabin Crew!!
Make sure to make festive plans on your days off.
No one wants to be working Christmas but it won’t be for every year.
Make memories and don’t forget to have fun!!
Maintenance calories…
Are calorie calculators accurate. Not really.
Are the calories listed on foods accurate. Not really.
Does your body need exactly the same calories every day? Probably not.
Does being a flight attendant make it even harder? Yes
BUT
We need a starting point.
Eating intuitively or blindly hasn’t worked which is why you’re reading this post.
If you weren’t worried about your calorie intake you would have scrolled past this post. Yet here you are.
Energy balance can be a bit of a minefield.
It can feel overwhelming just trying to figure out what you need to eat every day.
Welcome to the side of the internet where we help you figure out what your body needs so you can live a happy healthy life.

The dreaded bloating!!
Makes you feel uncomfortable during your flight and after. Multiple sector duty’s make it pretty much impossible to avoid 😣
Here’s a few tips that may help the bloating you experience during your flights.
Tracking which foods make it worse is also worth doing. We all react differently to certain foods. However it is a good idea to avoid beans & pulses

Cabin crew life is non-stop.
You’re either on the go at a million miles an hour, or you’re in bed.
There’s not much in between.
This lifestyle often means going periods of time away from natural daylight.
This has health implications.
As cabin crew it is vital that extra measures are taken to look after our health.
Things that most people don’t need to think about, (like getting in enough daylight) cabin crew need to make sure they are planning into their day for their health and well-being.
You only get one body. Look after it and it will look after you.
I help cabin crew to understand the health implications of flying and how to offset them with healthy habits.

Christmas Markets can be a calorific trip.
What should you do if you’re in a fat loss phase and you have been tracking your calories.
It’s almost impossible to track calories when having festive treats at Christmas markets.
These are tips I’ve put together to help you enjoy the markets without worrying about your calories.
My DMs are open if you need help.
The Cabin Crew lifestyle makes trying to lose weight and improve your fitness harder than most other jobs.
But not impossible.
You just have to be organised and hold yourself accountable.
Don’t get carried away on layovers and undo all your hard work from your off days.
Don’t worry about perfection. Just be consistent 80% of the time and you will see results!!
Save this one!!
How you prepare yourself for your night flight can make or break your duty.
I’ve been the crew who went out the previous night and got in late, hoping I would simply be able to sleep all day before my night flight.
It isn’t proper rest and doesn’t leave you feeling refreshed and ready for your flight.
In fact it makes the flight the biggest struggle!!
I compiled this list over time and made these my non-negotiables on a rest day.
Does your rest day look similar?

Cabin Crew Quick reminder… take your supplements!! 💊
You may have been told supplements are a waste of money and you should get all your nutrients from your food…
I’m here to show you otherwise
But first give this post a save
As a flight attendant your body is under more stress than most other people.
Not only are you working at all hours of the day and night …🌍
You also travel across time zones and on top of that the cabin altitude plays havoc with your body .. ✈️
Your body needs a helping hand to deal with this environment and all the factors that come with it.
This is where supplements come in..
I have compiled a list of ones I prefer based on my experience and those that my clients use.
☀️Vitamin D
🐠Omega 3
💤Magnesium L-threonate
🍊Vitamin C
💪🏼Creatine Monohydrate
⚡️Ashhwaganda

Mindset matters
Your mind is a powerful tool. If not understood in can trick you into being a lazy C***.
If you convince yourself that you don’t have the energy for a workout, you’re more likely to feel more tired.
If you tell yourself you don’t have the time to fit your workout in. Then funny old thing, you will only workout when you have 2 or 3 hours spare. Which is going to be pretty rare!!
If 30 mins is all you can spare on some days then get something done in that time.
Keep the habit up!
Think about your goals and values. If health is a value and you have a goal of improving your 10k run time or lifting X amount of weight. You will have the intrinsic motivation to get on with your workouts.
Replace negative thoughts with positive ones. Instead of saying “I don’t have the energy,” tell yourself “I have the energy and I’ll feel amazing after I workout.”
It isn’t always easy. It can be even harder when your Cabin Crew and your job is fatiguing.
Your health is your biggest asset.
What have you done today to contribute to your health?
The reason I built the Flying Fit program was to help Cabin Crew live a more fulfilled lifestyle.
You know how lucky you are to get the job as Cabin Crew.
You were picked over so many other candidates.
You’re the envy of friends and family who live through you and your adventures through flying.
BUT
You feel like you’ve lost touch with your body. You’re not in sync with it anymore.
You feel bloated, drained of energy, living with a permanent brain fog.
You love your job but you know it’s the job that has made you gain weight and lose your motivation to go to the gym or go for a run.
So now what?
Where do you start?
It all seems like too much to add on top of your flying schedule.
This is where flying fit comes in.
I work directly with Cabin Crew to get them back in sync with their body and back to feeling as excited about flying as they did when they first passed the interview.
Are you ready?
Send me a DM saying “INFO” to find out how I can help you.
Cabin Crew and back pain…
Every flight I did I came across a crew member who was suffering with their back.
Many didn’t realise there were things they could be doing to help and prevent back pain and injury.
If you know a crew member suffering with their back then please share this post with them or mention them in the comments.
