Words I live by.
And this poster says it all! π¦
So 2020 it is... I hadn't heard of it prior to 1st Nov. Oops! Sorry! But, as soon as I signed up I got super excited about the prospect of writing my first draft of my first novel.
Does it however make me a bad writer that I didn't know about this event, and that I didn't prepare like others did since July? Well, I say better late than never! Stop beating yourself up with overwhelm and just... Out pen to paper!
I have this book!!! ππ I have done for many years and I'm... Very pleased that are selling it in their - I recommend it very much! Was the first book I bought ever since I got interested in writing.
BIG thank you to for your "pep talk" on !!!
You really inspired me when you said:
"My secret for finishing a first draft? Not obsessing too much about the finished product, or getting intimidated by the idea of creating a thing that will have a spine."
"You know why? Because youβre already a novelist, even if youβre just putting down your first few words. The moment you had an idea for a novel, the moment a world started taking shape in your mind, you became one of us."
Thanks for giving me the confidence to just write, without the overwhelm and worry of whether I can do it or whether it's perfect or not. And thanks for telling me I belong, even if I am a newbie or an amateur.
Some inspiration?! π‘π‘π‘ What are your top tips for being more creative?
!! So I just found out about this 2 days ago. Shame! π± I missed out on this year's prepping time. But, I'm going to take this opportunity to write what I can and see where it takes me - while being unprepared! Anyone else doing it? Send me an invite, same name!
Happy Author's Day! 1st November 2020! πππ Bit late on the mark but here we go... Do you have any notables writers achievements you want to share?
