We are proud and excited to present to you on some beautiful poetry by Kashmira Bechoo , published poet and spoken word artist.

She is inspired by her dual heritage, faith and spirituality.

Often drawing on elements of nature and the universe in her poetry, Kashmira enjoys weaving colourful stories with words of black and white.

She has collaborated with international and national authors and organisations. Most recently, in the publication of ‘Africa, Where The Magic Is!’ for The Platform Reader, to promote literacy development in schools across South Africa.

As well as this, she has featured on the track ‘Flowers’ for TomInTheChamber and HurricaneHunt’s EP: Hurricane in The Chamber.

Introducing one of our incredible music acts on the night. Freequeensea is a downtempo electronica artsy alien creature that performs her productions live with ableton push and her etheral dreamy voice. By merging dreamy synths and tribal downtempo beats on Ableton push, you are taken on a psychedeic trip. On April 12th she will release the first track of her debut EP Dreamisland. The intention of this project was to create a sound that takes the listener on an otherwordly journey by recreating dreamscapes with frequencies and moods into real life.

By transcribing and recording melodies straight after waking up she created a unique etheral sound that transports you into different realms. She’s been inspired by books such as the art of dreaming by carlos castenada and the dreaming Practices of the ancient Toltec traditions.

Freequeensea is a part of the Underground Squat Rave Scene in London and performs there regularly. Last summer she was on the line-up for festivals such as Into the wild, Boardmasters, Psymera, As above so below and the Love Camp out in London. She also collaborated on a song of Kirk Spencers new Album: deadkit57, part 2. All her tracks are fully produced by herself.
