Over the last few weeks we've been busily working on a few developments up at Fantastic frogs, this includes redeveloping our Dendrobates breeding pod, emptying our old chameleon room to make a focused Phyllobates, Epipedobates, Ameerega and Mantella room. But the first to completion is our new fly room this will allow us to hold 5 times the flies we had before and allow us to offer fresh intermediates and mature through our shop!

So here it is a new plant shipment and almost all now live on the website, got some lovely anthuriums in, A.veitçhii, crystallinum, wendlingeri and waroqueanum all at really great prices check them out.

So froggers we've had a huge restock of Bromeliads this week and have second shipment arriving shortly as well plus this week we have plants arriving from Holland as well as some kore speciality stuff at the end of the week APHA and HMRC allowing so keep your eyes out we'll post here as the plants arrive.

Bit of an addition to yesterday's post, a couple of pics of our Red frog Beach froglets, the first three are almost three months old and come from our younger pair whilst the next ones come from a well established trio.

Phyllobates lugubris "Escudo" is one of the more unusual members of our collection. Managed to grab a few shots today and caught a newly metamorphosis froglet sneaking out from under a leaf!

Another good month for our small Oophagas, babies from two of our pairs of Bribri, our Rio Branco, our Punta Laurent, our vicentei, our Baru granulifera, Almirante, Red frog Beach, Isla Solarte and Colón, plus Bahia grande, two pairs of Isla Cristóbal, and 3 pairs of Bastimentos Cemetary but I haven't included pics of them!!!

Today is World Mountain Chicken day, the Mountain chicken , Leptodactylus fallax, is found naturally on Montserrat and Dominica in the Lesser Antilles, sadly the forest are falling silent, as these incredible frogs have vanished following a series of natural and man made disasters, following on from years of collection for frogs legs, volcanos and tropical storms/hurricanes Chytrid fungus made its way to the islands and the population almost became extinct. Certainly one of the rarest species I (BB) have ever been fortunate to work with in captivity and in the field, and they're massive and the males have spurs!!!!!

Just had a re-stock of expanded cork panels and added some 60mm thick stuff great for carving ledges and out crops into, had a quick go (2nd pic) less than 5 mins with a screw driver and got some nice ledges in it already, also coated myself with cork dust and fragments as well as our packing room, so I would suggest cheap dust sheets and a mask are an important part of the carving tool kit!
