Cllr Amy Cowen
Amy Cowen is one of three Conservative councillors for the Bromley Cross, Bolton.
In 2019, the then Labour council spent £15m purchasing the Marks and Spencer building for reasons best known to them. It certainly had nothing to do with regeneration.
The building now stands empty with no obvious use.
The Labour Council used borrowed money to buy the building that was to be repaid using the Manchester airport dividend.
The building is now valued at £1m and the airport dividend is currently suspended. It was a disastrous decision.
Bolton simply cannot afford the Bolton Labour Party running our town.
Let us know your experience over Christmas. Have your bins been emptied yet?

BROMLEY CROSS AND EGERTON POPPY ON THE LAMP-POST CAMPAIGN 2023 Please share.
Last year's Remembrance campaign was a huge success, to get Bromley Cross and Egerton awash with poppies on our lamp-posts throughout the area.
Thank you to our wonderful volunteers also!
We raised a fantastic amount for the Royal British Legion as well as creating a poignant and respectful symbol from our community of the sacrifice paid. The response last year was overwhelming! Please support this wonderful initiative again this year. We covered all the main roads, from the top of Blackburn Road down to the bottom of Turton Road 🌺
You can support by sponsoring poppies.
Be part of this positive community experience.
Thank you.
Collection points for donations are ;The Whitehouse Dry Cleaners , Bx ,

October is Children of Foster Carers Month where we celebrate the vital contribution the children of foster carers make to foster care, and the important role they play in their home, making children in care feel happier, welcome, more safe and more loved.
One of our own here in Bolton is WiLL Edgar, and we are delighted to see him in the spotlight as his talent continues to *shine* as he takes the music industry by storm 🤩
The year started off with him being asked to perform to King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla on their visit to celebrate 150 years of Bolton Town Hall.
WiLL then took part in the hit ITV show ‘The Voice Kids’ 2023 where he made it to the FINAL.
Will's family are so supportive helping him achieve his dream, whilst also fostering for Bolton Council.
Wills parents told us why they chose to foster and what part Will and his brother play in looking after these special children in their home:
‘As a family we have always tried to help and support each other so it’s only natural for us to support our children follow their dreams.
This feeling and desire to help , runs through the family and when we decided to start fostering over 5 years ago we knew our boys would be perfect for the part of being big Brothers.
They welcome every child into our home like their own brother or sister and make them feel at home right away. They are the perfect role model for young children setting good examples and showing them the right way.
It also allows the boys to understand some of the challenges other children face in life.
Whilst the house can sometimes be a little hectic the boys take everything in their stride. ‘
No doubt you will have seen WiLL performing in his home town of but Check out Will Edgar on Facebook and learn about his upcoming concert and new single .
It's a big THANK YOU to WiLL and ALL the across Bolton who do so much to support our looked after children.

| Officers from the North Neighbourhood Team have been conducting speed enforcement on Mossbank Way, Bolton this morning nearby to local schools. The faster someone drives, the less time they have to react or stop if something unexpected happens. One of our priorities is to make Bolton's roads safer and we will continue to target speeding motorists in order to do this. .
Good to see that the zebra crossing has now been painted
Thank you to everyone who has supported our campaign to save the Bromley Cross Ticket Office. We've now submitted over 💯 responses from local residents to the consultation!
The fight to save the ticket office doesn't stop with the consultation ending today and we will continue to lobby Northern to keep this vital service open.
Point 1 of our 3 Point Plan to tackle speeding in Bromley Cross and Egerton was to arrange a public meeting with your local councillors, council officers, and police officers. And we’re delivering that.
🗓️ Thursday 21st September
⏰ 19:00
📍 Windsor Road Community Centre
Tackling speeding isn’t something that one organisation can do alone, so we’re bringing them together. This is a great opportunity for local residents to make their voice heard and hear directly from those who can make a difference.
Join Cllr Samantha Connor, Cllr Amy Cowen and I at this meeting and please share and let your friends know!
