Well folks, it’s fish ‘fryday’, so why not come along to Earharts cafe, down at Northside village centre, and grab some fresh haddock & chips? Beautiful fresh haddock fillet, Brolly’s hand cut chips, garden or mushy peas, tartare sauce, bread & butter and a pot of tea, or cup of filter coffee, for only £7.50!! Or if there’s 2, £13.95 for both of you! Yip, crazy, we know! But everybody deserves fresh fish on a Friday! Long rant warning! 😡 Well, so much for our 1st day with JustEat (or JustNotEat as it should maybe be known) We feel extremely let down today, as we went live with the JustEat ordering portal. Our first order arrived at 11.39am, and we were itching to get cooking, but as per Justeat procedure, we had to wait for confirmation of assigning of a delivery driver. So we did wait, and wait, and wait, and.. well you get the picture. So we then did some investigating, and found the customers address (something you may think would be simple enough, but not with JustEast’s ultra secrecy policy!) and made the delivery ourselves. The same happened with the second order, again we delivered ourselves. Then the 3rd order came in, but unfortunately we couldn’t get an answer from the connected telephone number, so after 75 (yes, SEVENTY FIVE!) minutes, the order was cancelled, and quite rightly so. Now with this fantastic way JustEat have of working, we actually get the delivery address sent to us, AFTER it is cancelled (yeah, funny, we know 😡), so I will be contacting the customer to apologise and explain what happened. It was at this point, after almost 20 calls to JustEat or their representatives, that we decided we had to call it off for today. Here’s hoping JustEast can actually fulfil the contractual promises they made tomorrow, and perhaps try to justify the huge percentage they take of the order value. We will be taking orders again from 10.30am, rant over! 🤐
