🌸Spring your way to better health 🌸
It may seem like I’m posting this message far too early!!!
Spring, according to the Traditional Chinese Medicine calendar, begins around the end of the first week in February (in the Northern hemisphere of course!)
Did you know that the changing of the seasons has an impact on how our bodies work? Spring is often associated with a change in tempo and new beginnings. New leaves sprout, plants re-emerge and temperatures climb - and our bodies are no exception to the seasonal shift. 🌱⛅
Spring is the time when we begin to switch from being very Yin (winter hibernation and being cosy indoors) and start becoming more Yang (increased movement, more time outdoors and a desire to do more). We instinctively want to become more active 🤸
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the two key players associated with Spring are the Liver (a Yin organ) and the Gallbladder (a Yang organ), both which do a huge amount of heavy lifting as we go about our daily business.
The Liver helps to…
✔️nourish our sinews and muscles
✔️regulate menstruation
✔️nourish nails and moisten our eyes
✔️take action once a decision is made
The Gallbladder helps with…
🍴 digestion
🧠decision making
Regular acupuncture sessions help to keep your energy (Qi) balanced throughout the changing seasons and supports your general health all year round.

New Flyer time! Forget earthy colours...I'm sticking to the bold colours of summer. Give it a ❤️ if you approve of the design and colours.
Kind words from a client 🥰
It really is the best feeling when I hear how my acupuncture sessions are helping! Welcoming new patients into my practice is always a joy, and I like to think of my treatment room as a little slice of peace away from the pressures and stress of daily life in London.
Have you tried acupuncture, and if so what was your experience?
acupuncture
Acupuncture is scary and stressful, right?’ 🤔
WRONG!
Acupuncture can be incredibly relaxing, to the point that many of my clients find themselves drifting off into a peaceful slumber mid-session!
If you’re someone who suffers from bouts of anxiety or periods of chronic stress, acupuncture offers drug-free support, and there is lots of research which has found that it can be extremely effective in alleviating stress and anxiety.
Anyone can experience stress and anxiety from time to time. The key point to remember is that stress and/or anxiety should not feel overwhelming or stop you from getting on with your life, enjoying time with loved ones and achieving your goals. If symptoms start to affect your daily routine, activities or happiness then it is so important to seek help. You don’t have to suffer in silence. 💛
If you really hate needles then an acupressure massage is a fantastic alternative. Plus, from September I will also be offering Tui Na massage; more to come on that soon 📣
We've only got one planet and it's beautiful.
To do my bit for the planet I've looked at reducing what is put in the bin and ends up in landfill.
So what have I put in place?...
😃Sheets and pillow cases are used instead of couch roll-
I know this means that water is used to wash, so I've chosen very thin sheets which require less water.
😃 Plastic guide tubes used for each needle are returned for recycling. Thank you
😃 The plastic on the needle wrapping is recycled.
😃 The paper on the wrapping is popped into my compost bin.
😃 Sheets and cases are air dried- no tumble drying.
I'd love to hear how you've reduced waste❤️

Goodbye 2022. Hello 2023. The year when I'm going to focus on my health and wellbeing. After years of studying and then setting up my Acupuncture practice I realise my health hasn't been a priority. So 2023 will be about balance, eating well, stretching, having acupuncture treatments, Tui Na massages and lots of walking.
So sad about the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. She served with dignity, dedication, warmth and kindness. Deepest sympathy and condolences to the Royal family.

Become healthier without calorie counting!
Gong hei fat choy! Wishing you happiness and prosperity in the Chinese lunar new year of 2022. The year of the tiger. Xx
Make this the year of small changes to make a big difference to your health. Another Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) nugget of advice which focuses on helping your digestive system to process food and extract nutrients.
Our digestive system works incredibly hard. Be kind to it!
New year and the same resolution makes an appearance...lose some weight and be healthy? Sound familiar? Having tried a range of diets and even a weight loss programme, I gave up calorie counting for good in July last year. I decided to adopt the TCM principles I was taught whilst training to become an acupuncturist. Result....I actually lost weight and felt less bloated😀.
So I've jotted down a few tips in a blog which will be available very soon. # # #
Winter is the time to be Yin...sleep, rest and relax, (as demonstrated by Pebbles the cat).
Combine R&R with Acupuncture to help nourish the Kidneys ( the organ associated with Winter) and Lungs (organ associated with Autumn) to boost immunity and help the body to heal.
2022! The year to become your healthiest self, feel energised, pain free and relaxed😃

Merry Christmas everyone! Didn't get snow in London (again 😞).
HAPPY WINTER SOLSTICE!
The longest night and shortest day. Embrace the Yin of darkness, rest, do something to pamper yourself and write down all the things you have achieved this year. Remind yourself that you are a beautiful soul and amazing person ❤️

Working from home means many of us sit in front of a screen for longer periods. This can lead to neck stiffness and pain 😞. Massage these acupuncture points and book an acupuncture treatment.
Tuesday morning advice from Pebbles...Take a paws...stop for 10 mins, watch the world go by and appreciate how amazing you are.
Wow!
