Our latest Heritage lunch was on Monday with over 60 in attendance for an audience with Salford coach and former Halifax star, Paul Rowley.
He spoke about his playing and coaching career.

Next month's lunch is on Monday 11th December with guest speaker, former fax scrum half and current Huddersfield coach, Ian Watson.

We can now confirm that our Heritage Lottery project launch night will be on Tuesday 28th November at the Shay Stadium with a 7pm start. There will be food available and a paid bar facility.

We are pleased to announce that we have been successful in securing funding from Tesco and their Stronger Start 'Blue Token' scheme. We need you all to put your blue tokens when you visit Tesco into our section in each store throughout Calderdale.
We are using the funds to run an extra Holiday Club in october 2024 where our attendees will receive a hot and healthy 2 course meal alongside all the sporting activities we deliver.

Following the successful application for funding earlier in the year from The National Lottery Heritage Fund for ‘The History of Halifax & District Amateur Rugby League’, the Calderdale Community Coaching Trust are pleased to announce the appointments of Paul Field and Andrew Hardcastle as Heritage Officers to develop and deliver the project.
Andrew Harcastle, a retired schoolteacher and one-time Greetland All Rounders player, has been the official historian of Halifax RLFC for fifty years, and has amassed considerable information on the amateur game as well during that period.….
Paul Field has been part of amateur Rugby League in Halifax for over 30 years as a player, coach and administrator with the former Calder Valley club. Since retiring from open age Rugby League at the age of 50, Paul took up playing Masters RL with Siddal Masters and has played international Masters in eight countries. Until January 2023, Paul was a Treasurer and Referee Lead for Masters RL. Paul, who is retired from his career as an International Sales Manager, is keen to start the project.
“I am thrilled to be appointed to the role and in the coming months I am looking forward to many fascinating conversations about amateur Rugby League clubs, past and present. The project with its online museum will be a lasting example of the positive work the Calderdale Community Coaching Trust does in the community”.

We have completed 2 blocks at Covea Insurance in Dean Clough with over 80 of their employees benefitting from the course with excellent feedback received.
We currently have funding to deliver in person or online cohorts.

Offload - Rugby League Cares Offload is a mental fitness and wellbeing programme from RL Cares that has made a positive difference to the lives of thousands of people in RL communities.

Our Healthy Holiday Summer provision has now come to an end with all our stats now on our website.
Planning now starting for our Winter programme to be again held at The Shay Stadium thanks to funding from Community Foundation for Calderdale and Calderdale Council.

Looking forward to getting involved in coaching the Halifax Panthers Wheelchair rugby league development team. The first game is away the Sunday against Rochdale, another new team following the RLWC 2021 success.
We led on 5 taster sessions since the world cup win and have had 120 people try wheelchair rugby league for the 1st time. still 2 more taster sessions coming up if you want to have a go at one of the fastest growing sport in the UK
first one is Thursday 13th April and second one is 1st May. Both are 6pm til 7pm. To book your place please email [email protected]
