Monthly Restorative session returns next Sunday.
3-5pm

A chance to shut out all the noise and give in to rest.
Our culture does not value or encourage rest because it doesn’t make money. But we all know how important it is when we don’t get it!

The experience of many of us, and as shown in research studies, is that we become more effective and have a better time when we take the time to rest.
And maybe that’s difficult at home. So here is a space for you to be nourished and do very little!

If you know someone who could use this - even if they can’t pay, please do send them my way.
I am offering a couple of free spaces in this session so please share! 🙏🏼

In rest and peace…. Karen x

Lean into the cold and darkness of winter that calls us to slow down and conserve our energy.
Be warm and cosy.

We have time!

Let go of those sometimes unrealistic expectations to have everything set up for the year by the end of January - we are still in deep winter!
This is a time of clearing out the old, and planning for the new. Intention setting for the things we want to bring forth.
The spring will arrive in good time and with adequate rest and planning we will be ready for that newfound burst of energy it brings.

When we tune into nature, and our own nature, nothing needs to be forced.
Making commitments yes, putting practices in place yes…. but small steps is ok 💕

So if you’re feeling like you want to crawl under a blanket, as well as nourish your body and mind… I invite you to do just that by joining me on Sunday at for 2 hours of restorative yoga.
Gentle joint releasing movement, conscious breathing and long held passive stretches to help you let go of that which doesn’t serve you… to find deep rest and rejuvenation.

Places are limited so advanced booking recommended.

See link in bio for more info and booking.

If you’ve been wanting to try yoga to ease stiffness and discomfort, get more mobile and feel calmer, but you’re apprehensive to go to a class - this is for you!

I tell people in my classes that flexibility and strength are a byproduct of yoga but not the goal.
However, I know that showing up to a class of experienced yogis can feel intimidating to a beginner.

This 6 week course is an introduction and the focus will be gently mobilising the joints to ease stiffness and increase flexibility, aiding daily functional movements to avoid injuries, and improving breathing capacity and general well-being to help you deal with whatever life throws at you.

No frills or fancy stuff.

This class will provide a safe and welcoming environment from a fully registered and experienced yoga instructor and yoga therapist, with no expectations or judgements.

So please come as you are.

This course aims to leave you with greater awareness of your body and how you can increase mobility and alleviate tension, a greater understanding of yoga, some of the foundational poses and practices and how they can support you, and hopefully more ease in both body and mind!
The course will run on Wednesdays from 10th Jan - 14th Feb 5-6pm at The Wellington Health & Well-being Centre.

Attendance to all sessions recommended but if you need to miss one do contact me

If you would like to book on to this course or know someone who would please DM or pass on details.
Places are limited at the venue and January is a busy time so early booking recommended!

I look forward to meeting you :)

Karen 🙏🏼

Yes that’s right Monday morning crew!

I want to make sure you get all the amazing elements that a yoga class has to offer - so I’m extending the class by 15 minutes (at no extra cost to you) to make time for pranayama (breath work practices) and meditation at the end of our asana class.
After all, this is the ultimate goal of asana - to prepare the body to sit in meditation, and pranayama (translation ‘control of breath’) to bring the mind into stillness.
It feels like we need this level of depth in our practice more than ever right now.

Link for booking is in my bio or DM me with any questions.

I look forward to starting the week with you.

In Peace.
