It was great to meet with Dan from Porthcew Dairy, who also sells milk and milkshakes only 30 minutes from Trink!
It's great to chat to a similar business, helping us both exchange ideas and ways to keep improving! We both agree it is so rewarding seeing happy customers using our vending machines!

Straight from Glastonbury Festivals to Trink Dairy!
Thank you Dua Lipa for taking time to speak to our family on your way through Trink! The girls were thrilled! Watching the helicopter land in our field was very impressive!

Before and after an early morning milking! The cows in our collecting yard @ 5.40am, then after milking in the dispersal yard all done by 8.30am. When the milk is the bulk tank is when we’re ready to start pasteurising.
Yesterday was the first rain we’ve seen in a month, measuring 15mm. This will help grow more quality grass in the coming weeks.
Our current specials are Chocolate Fudge Brownie and Lemon Meringue! 🍫🍋

As a farming family the Royal Cornwall Show is very special to us. This year the icing on the cake is enjoying a ‘proper’ coffee there with our milk!

First cut silage 2024☀️
We are baling up the silage for the cows winter feed whilst the sun is shining and lots of high quality grass is around. Here you can see the team at work and hauling the bales back to the farm for safe storage!

We have lots of parking and picnic benches too. Time it right and you can watch the cows being milked, but please keep dogs on a lead. Follow the signs to Trink Dairy, St Ives, Cornwall, TR26 3JG.
This is a typical sight after the cows have been milked, walking to and grazing their evening grass. This quality grass is the secret to our great tasting milk!

We also have Caramel Brownies, made by the talented Cakes by Alicia, which are new to the vending machine!
Did you know milk is highly perishable (just imagine strawberries) which is why we fill every bottle and churn by hand!
We treat our milk with great care so that we retain its full texture and flavour for you to enjoy. We pasteurise immediately after milking, at only 8 li/min and we don’t homogenise or standardise our milk.
Our specials are Cappuccino and Vanilla which will run alongside Chocolate, Strawberry, Banana and Salted Caramel.

With the drier weather we’ve managed to get out spreading fertiliser.
This is to enhance growth over the coming weeks to provide grazing aswell as grass to be made into silage. The fertiliser is a mix of nitrogen, sodium, sulfur, and magnesium.
Two new milkshake specials at the farm are Raspberry & White Chocolate and Vanilla ☀️

Spring … it’s certainly been a challenging one, constant changes in the weather with plenty of rain. Occasionally the cows are brought in as soon as they’re full of fresh grass, to help protect the field from poaching!

Gold for the 6th year! We’re thrilled that our team and cows have achieved this again, so a big thank you to them all!
The Judges at Taste of the West were very impressed … “easily seeing why it’s so popular, winning Gold year on year” adding “with its versatility is an excellent accompaniment to coffee … or just enjoyed on its own!

Wow this is today - 17th March! What a picture!
We’ve managed to graze the cows everyday during an incredibly wet spring. Each day we’ve brought them in as soon as they’ve had their fill of fresh grass to protect the sward (the grass in the fields) for future grazing!
Today they’re staying out and chewing their cud in the sunshine!! The milk will taste even better tomorrow after sunshine, fresh air and fresh grass.
