Thank you to everyone who came to my studio on the back of Devon Open Studios in September. It was a delight to meet new faces and have great conversations! Thank you also to the couple who came on the last day and decided what my most recent painting should be titled. It is ‘Safe Harbour’ Is it just me or is finding an appropriate title for a finished painting hardest part of being an artist ?

Bideford based artists join DEVON OPEN STUDIOS 9th to 24th September | Discover Bideford Devon Open Studios is the annual flagship event of Devon Artist Network (DAN). Over 300 artists across Devon will be welcoming visitors to their creative spaces and this year two artists in Bideford are welcoming you.

My image today is a photograph taken after I started an online digital photography course by Emil Pakarklis - I can recommend the course.

I was nominated by to post 10 images over 10 days.
These ones are from when I became interested in the Moon. In particular the mapping undertaken by H.P. Wilkins through his own telescope and first published in 1946. Amazing !

I was nominated by to present a picture of my artwork for 10 days and nominate 1 additional artist per day
Todays work is approx 16 x12” and is made of twigs wrapped in paper and captured inside Perspex cover with silver leather binding them together I wanted to show the preciousness of natural form and how it need to be preserved.
