So here is the last window of the advent calendar, and if it all gets a bit too much, try out this breathing exercise (or have a stiff vodka whichever you prefer :-)

Hi ladies,
I hope you had a lovely weekend. Only 5 days to go until the big day. Todays tip is about trying to get ahead as much as possible, that doesn't mean doing it all yourself ;-)
If you are interested in reading more about ADHD, I thoroughly recommend Ed Hallowell's book ADHD 2.0 (no I'm not on commission)

Hi ladies,
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Only 11 days to go until Xmas.
Having ADHD can mean you have tendency to lean towards negative self talk and chatter, it's easy to get caught up in it. Ned Hallowell is a leading expert in all things ADHD and he explains in his book ADHD 2.0 https://www.amazon.co.uk/ADHD-2-0-Essential.../dp/0399178732 that we need to give our brain a reboot every now and again by snapping ourselves out of that negativity.
**PRIZE GIVEAWAY: ** I will be giving away a FREE copy of the book!
To be in with a chance to win, reply **YES **in the comments below and we will draw names out of a hat on the 24th December.

Only 17 days left until the big day.
Everyone likes a tipple - don't they? I can safely say I have had my fair share, however this year I will be going AF - my first ever AF Xmas and New Year as an adult! There are some amazing AF drinks available now, and I have stocked up on my AF Fizz.
I decided to stop, because it was playing havoc with my anxiety which is exacerbated by ADHD and menopause anyway.
I can honestly say I feel so much better. I am not saying not to enjoy your favourite glass of wine or 3, just to be mindful that you do not need it to have a good time plus you have the added bonus of waking up the next day without the dreaded hangover!

Hi Ladies
I hope you are having a lovely weekend.
Did you know that people with ADHD find it hard to focus on tasks, rein in urges and plan. This plays havoc with their finances, leaving them unable to budget, save and pay bills on time.
So Day 21 is a little reminder to keep a check on our spending over the holidays.

Ok Ok, I admit it is not as good as a chocolate behind every window, but here is your tip for day 22 of our advent calendar,
Writing these tips is helping me feel abit calmer about xmas and I might even be starting to get into the festive spirit.
We are putting up our tree this weekend, it feels quite early but hey how! How about you? Are you a giddy gipper who has already done it, or do you like to leave it until Xmas Eve? Don't forget to send us your pics!!

Day 2 of our festive ADHD Advent Calendar.
I remember last year I got so stressed with Xmas and other stuff, I ended up burning myself out, not fun. Lets make a commitment to each other to try not to over commit, and instead make time to be kind to ourselves and enjoy Xmas on our terms.

Hi Ladies,
December is upon us and is anyone else feeling more festive than ever? (Especially after the dismal Xmas of 2020)
I know I am, but with an equal measure of dread … because it stresses me right out!
I always end up rushing around and hardly have time to enjoy it and relax.
I am determined this year will be different, and so I am sharing my top 24 tips leading up to the big day – to help you (and me) survive this festive season …..
ps: let us know if you have any tips to share too!

Happy Monday!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Mine was lovely, I went to a house party and a baby shower.
I wanted to share with you this Dani Donovan picture today - as I think it sums up how it feels to get started when you have ADHD.
Something which works for me is to plan my day ahead.
Rather than just having a big never ending to do list, I break this down by blocking out buckets of time in my calendar for different categories eg: relationships, finance, career, house stuff.
Spend the allocated time for each bucket and what you don't get done rolls over to another time.
Don't forget to schedule a bucket for some you time!!!
Let us know in the comments if this helps, or if you have any of your own hints and tips to share. 🔽

Good morning,
I hope you had a lovely weekend and as we go into a new week, just remember ....
**Motivation Monday**
I can't believe it is November already! The clocks have gone back here in the UK and the weather is dreadful!
It's days like this, we might just want to stay under the duvet - it can be really hard to get motivated.
If you are living with ADHD it can be even harder.
There is a reason for this, it is because our Dopamine levels are lower. There are ways we can give ourselves a dopamine hit, and increase our motivation. [If you'd like to find out more, read the excellent article below from Psychology Today]
Here are a few of my own tips to help you get motivated:
💜Start your day with a success: just a simple task will help you continue down the road of motivation for the rest of the day.
💜Set smaller goals: break large tasks down into smaller chunks
Involve others: have someone to hold you accountable
💜Create rewards: treat yourself for a job well done
💜Visualise the end result, really feel it: then work back from it being completed.
💜Set your timer - for just 10 or 25 minutes with short breaks inbetween, and make a start. Keep doing this to build up the momentum.
Let us know in the comments what your do to keep motivated or if you have any challenges, share these too! 👇

🎃🧡Happy Halloween 🧡🎃
I hope you are all well, it has been a while since I posted,. I don't know about you, but October felt like it breezed by in a hot minute.
In the UK, today the weather is absolutely dreadful and the clocks have gone back an hour, it is also the last day of for 2021.
Have you seen the fantastic coverage? Including the articles featuring how many women may wait decades for an ADHD diagnosis? In case you missed it, I will share this and some of the highlights with you over the next few weeks.
Now we move into November, and into what is often the busiest time of the year. For many women with ADHD (including myself) - this can also be a stressful and overwhelming time, with so many plates spinning.
So, for November as well as regular posts and updates, we are announcing our theme for the month will be ORGANISATION. Look out for weekly content and hints & tips.
Until then, say hello and let us know if you have any particular concerns or challenges would like us to cover in the comments. 👇

Happy Friday,
Sorry it's been so quiet around here for the past few weeks. I'm pleased to say that normal service will be resuming soon, with more regular updates and some exciting news in the pipeline.
🤍For now ... I have decided to schedule in a Friday quote. It would be great if we could make this a thing - and you post your favourites too!
🤍This week I have chosen a classic from Oprah! On first impressions it may seem a bit cheesy and unrealistic, but why should it be?
We should never lose sight of our dreams.
What are your dreams and aspirations? Do you dare to still have them? Feel free to add to the comments or just keep to yourself, for now?
Have a lovely weekend!

Hi everyone,
I hope you all had a lovely weekend 🙂
Just a gentle reminder that today 6th September at 17:00 BST is my Free "3 steps to get more organised with ADHD!" live workshop.

Did you know ...
•Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) symptoms DO exist in both females and males in the same proportions.
•Diagnosis is 3x more likely in males, which means many women are often overlooked.
•It often only becomes apparent in later life when responsibilities of family and work build up, that as it becomes more difficult for women to manage ADHD.
•One of the main challenges is around the ability to organise, which can lead to overwhelm and anxiety.
I know, I have been there, and would like to share my experience of improving my own organisational skills to help women in a similar position.
I really look forward to seeing you there!
