Today is World Bee Day! Wild bees and other pollinators are in decline worldwide, but there are things you can do in your garden to help reverse this trend by making your garden bee-friendly!
🐝Why are bees important? How you can help them? Read our blog to find out more: http://www.woodlandtru.st/ITfUU
🐝Read our top tips for attracting bees to your garden: http://www.woodlandtru.st/Dziec
🐝You might be surprised to learn there are more than 250 species of bee in the UK. Bumblebees, mason bees, mining bees; these are just one small part of a big, beautiful family. Lean about different bee species at http://www.woodlandtru.st/uOpiq
Lots of really good advice here
It's Hedgehog Awareness Week! Sadly, the UK’s favourite spiky little mammal is in serious decline, with estimates suggesting they could be down by over half in rural areas and a third in urban areas since 2000.
Factors in hedgehog declines include the loss and damage of suitable habitat such as hedgerows and woodland, the use of pesticides on farmland and in gardens, impermeable fencing and loss of greenery in gardens, and roads and traffic. How can we help our prickly friends?👇
🦔Build a hedgehog house and provide a home to any garden visitors you may have! http://www.woodlandtru.st/NbriX
🦔You can also help hedgehogs and other wildlife by planting trees, hedgerows and woods on your land or in your local community http://www.woodlandtru.st/VEzrl

⚠ Please do not follow advice telling you to feed leftover cooking fat to birds. The grease from cooking fat can damage the waterproofing qualities of their feathers. Instead stick to pure fats like lard and suet to give birds the nutrients to survive the cold winter months
