A consumer unit change completed in Blurton today, removing three old units and installing a new one. I knew it was gonna be a tough day when the engineer from National Grid said.........."i don't envy you today" 🤣

Inspected for a customer and recommended consumer unit upgrade and some appropriate rewiring with proper containment for the cables.

Out with old, in with the new. Old inefficient halogen spotlights changed for new LED IP rated lights and new cabling to all.

An outdoor lighting installation completed in Stockport today, part of a larger outbuildings and garden project. Lights are switched from the main house and linked to customers smart home, ideal time to get your outdoor lighting sorted ready for the darker evenings.

A rather eye opening inspection today...."my mate can do electrical work".....no.....no he really can't 🫣🫣

If your electrical installation looks like this, you need to get a qualified electrician to do an inspection and rectify any issues. There were 3 young kids in this household and dangers everywhere including no earth connection at a socket outlet.

Another Consumer unit upgrade completed today. Vast improvement over the old rewirable fuseboard.

2 become 1, these two antiquated consumer units replaced with a nice new one. Bringing the installation up to meet current regulations and much improved electrical safety for the customer.

Nice easy job for a Friday, 2nd fixing a kitchen in Burnage, part of an ongoing home renovation. Roll on the weekend.

A kitchen in Wilmslow recently wired, new downlights, cabinet lighting and USB socket outlets. Concealed isolation points for hob and cooker hood to keep a clean look above the worktop, all easily accessible.

By involving an electrician at the planning stage of your home projects can really pay dividends. A recently completed bathroom in Maybank. This installation includes 3 individually controllable lighting elements, concealed dual toothbrush charger, shaver point, digital smart shower, ceiling recessed Google Nest smart speaker and accessible isolation for each accessory. Two 100mm cable trays have also been utilised for an industrial look shelf and towel hanger.

Called out to a job in Silverdale today where the downstairs lights kept tripping. I think the tidal wave of rusty water behind this switch might've been the reason 🌊🌊🌊

A recent callout to a customer whose solar PV inverter had stopped working and was no longer generating electricity from their roof panels. The original installer wanted over £500 to replace the inverter. After removing the cover I diagnosed it as a faulty relay which was causing the issue. New £8 relay fitted plus 2 hours labour, the inverter is now working again and one happy customer. Just need some sunshine now.

Recently completed concealed LED hallway lighting. Using 2700k LED lights to give a warmer softer lighting effect, this installation also connects to the customers smart home utilising Alexa allowing them to set on/off timers for the lights as well as voice control.
