SIGNS & SYMPTOMS 💡

With less than 2 weeks to place your boobie orders, I wanted to spend the next few days chatting about signs and symptoms of breast cancer.

So #1 is a rash or crusting of the ni**le / surrounding area. There may be reasons for this such as breast feeding, but if you notice a rash or crusting on this area please make sure you get it checked out by your doctor.

These last few days I’ve been getting messages from people asking about when to check themselves over.

I once read that a good time to incorporate this into your routine is when in the shower. Take some shower gel in your hand and wash your underarms, collarbones and breasts. This way you’re checking yourself over and before you know it, it’s part of your normal routine.

It’s all about finding your normal with your body, that way you’ll be in the best position to spot anything unusual.

My good friend Zara also mentioned this top tip to me so I’m glad to hear someone else is doing the same!!

Last but in no means least, it’s the third and final set.
These are here to represent how to check your breast itself. There are no rules on how to check yourself all you need to do is know your normal.
Some signs and symptoms may include a change in texture, any new lumps, new pain outwith your period, a sudden change in size or shape, or redness or rashes. This is only a few I have picked out (again most of these I was not aware of) but please go to CoppaFeel’s site for all the details you may need.

However, this isn’t just for women but also men. So ladies, get your men to have a check too as they also have breast tissue.

Here we go it’s another stage I had no clue I was to do - checking your collarbone. Who knew!?

Firstly, we are ALL DIFFERENT so something that is normal for me, may not be normal for you. So get feeling to find out what is your natural body. That way, if anything changes, you’re more aware of it. This is what CoppaFeel wants to raise awareness of. Getting to know our bodies so if something does change, and if it is breast cancer, you have discovered it early on. This way, we can prevent late diagnosis and have a better chance of fighting this terrible disease.

It’s here! The new collection for Breast Cancer Awareness Month is finally here!

I have been working pretty much since I opened this little business on this project so I am super excited to finally be sharing it with you all.

Each set conincides with one of the three steps CoppaFeel advise on how to check yourself. So here is the first set which is representing one of the stages - checking your underarms. Who knew this was a thing we were to do? I certainly didn’t and that now terrifies me.

So people, get checking those underarms and in the following posts I’ll talk you through the other steps on how to successfully check yourself over.

This set features two little dangle earrings that have a handrawn torso, a breast and a little heart ni**le. I wanted to keep all of these pieces within the CoppaFeel aesthetic which is very light-hearted so I hope you guys like them!

October is Breast Cancer awareness month so in honour of this I have decided to release a limited collection with 20% of proceeds going to CoppaFeel.

If you don’t know who CoopaFeel are - then get to know them! They’re a charity that focus on educating young people about their breasts. Their aim is to detect breast cancer early and correctly to give you a better chance of fighting it.

How do they aim to do this?
By enocuragign men and women to check their breasts and pecks from an early age.
Educating us on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer.
Empowering us to seek advice from a doctor if symptoms persist.

I don’t know about you, but before making this collection all I thought breast cancer showed itself as was a lump. It is not the only symptom. So please educate yourself on these signs and symptoms. I will be sharing some of this knowledge this month through my page for you guys.

The purpose of this collection is to encourage people to head over to CoppaFeel and get feeling for ‘their normal’. This way is something changes, you are aware of it.
