... and why should we do it?

♻️Reworked clothing is vintage or pre-loved clothing that has been re-designed and re-sewn into a new garment. It’s something that everyone can do and a great way to be sustainable in your every day life.

♻️ We’re all guilty of having unworn items of clothing sitting in our closets collecting dust, and with an estimated 92 million tons of textile waste being produced each year, reworking is an amazing alternative to buying new.

♻️The best way to combat textile waste is to use what we already have available to us, rather than creating and buying brand-new pieces. Not only are we not adding to the problem this way, but we are actively using materials that would otherwise go to landfill or be destroyed.

♻️ By looking at your unworn items and thinking about why you don’t wear them, you can work out what you can do to get more use out of them. And this could be something as simple as cropping a T-shirt mending a hole or dying a stage shirts.

♻️Websites like Skillshare and YouTube are great resources for finding DIY tutorials for re-working clothes. And at the end of it all, you have something completely unique to you!

Sooo funny story with this corset 😅
After I'd spent a few hours carefully putting her together, literally about to add the final stitches, I stupidly managed to mark her with my iron 🙈 had an obligatory meltdown thinking I can't take everything apart again to replace this one panel 😩😩😩 but luckily even reworks can be reworked, so I sprinkled some bleach on that bish and she's re-reworked 😂 and tbh I think she looks even better than before 😏
Moral of the story is... even when you f**k up, there's always something you can do to fix it 💫

Happy February!! Despite January dragging like an absolute motherf*cker, I actually managed to set some real plans and goals for the rest of this year! I've been working on some new designs, planning out the drops and just generally setting some goals and intentions for the year and I feel so much better for it 💆🏻‍♀️ Kicking everything off is opening up my custom orders again!
