We are two keen travellers, and Railway Engineers, who are about to embark on a travel around a few far away from home places during our quarter life crisis!
Join us on our tour as we go around parts of the world.
On our last day on the island we popped back to the pineapple plantation to get our hands on some pineapple jam and pineapple liquor
Watching the sunset after a long day of hiking and hot springs - and facing fears š¦
Yesterday we did a lot of hiking. Our favourite trail was up to this waterfall where we went for a dip in the beautiful but freezing pool!
Setting up for sunrise with our little helper š
Since being back home we have been going through some of our earlier photos and used some new skills to get them up to a better standard.
Iām super happy with how this ship from hakone has come out!
So you might wonder why we are going through to make cartoon edits of some of our photos. Well in a creative flair I decided I wanted to create covers for the stories on our blog. This is how Indonesia has come out and the plan is to do one for each country we went to.
What do you think? Does it work? What can be improved?
A photo from our time in Indonesia. Iāve been having more fun with photoshop since getting home. In this photo I have blended the original of us walking through the temple, overplayed a sunrise and then gave it a cartoony effect. What do you think?
Throwback to our time on the salt flats. We took a three day tour through the Atacama desert, it rained heavily every night. The result was this: an absolutely perfect mirror effect for miles and miles. It was a pretty magical experience and totally worth waking up at 5am to experience. Thanks to
A few days ago we had some time in Paracas. A cool stop on our tour, we loved watching the sunset over the bay
So a few days ago, while travelling through to Lima with , we stopped at Huacachina. In this desert oasis we got in a dune buggy, put on some skis and hit the slopes thanks to ! Who needs snow!?
During our journey on the PeruHop we stayed a couple of nights at Huacachina! This is an oasis in the desert where you can play in the sand with Skis, Boards and Dune buggies š You can also get fantastic shots from above thanks to
Today we were blessed with seeing many condors out at ! The sun was out and these fantastic birds dazzled us with their acrobatic skills! Thank you for a great trip!
P.s the final photo is some fun I had on photoshop to try and make the shot have a cartoony feel!
@ Colca Canyon Arequipa-Peru
Yesterday we made the trip up to ! The day started super cloudy but thankfully it wasnāt long for the cloud to blow away! We were treated to amazing views of this awesome historical site!
Yesterday we made our escape the rainbow mountains outside Cusco, Peru. The day started as a very early (4:30am) cramped minibus, with pouring rain outside. When we arrived we struggled climbing the altitude but the end result was worth it! Rain stopped, clouds slowly going away and stunning views š
@ Rainbow Mountain, Peru
Yesterday we were able to celebrate the last of Martinās 30th birthday presents...paragliding. Originally planned to be done near Mendoza, we had to cancel due to poor weather. Thankfully the weather held out at Peru for us to tick another activity off our list! Thank you
@ Cusco, Peru
Some of our favourite pictures from our train adventure through Peru yesterday. The scenery was stunning, the food lush, the cocktail making class great fun and the music/dancing on point! Best train trip ever!
Today we are sticking to our roots and train-nerding out on the PeruRail Titicaca service from Puno to Cusco! This scenic train runs along the high altitudes of Peru and will be bringing us closer to Machu Picchu.
@ PUNO Train Station, PERURAIL
One of the great sights we saw while we crossed the Atacama Desert was the morning view of a mountain. It appeared to have an ominous look whilst being shrouded by a halo of cloud! (P.s. we have so many photos of this trip that this may be a theme for a while).
@ Atacama Desert
Two days ago Katy and I decided to roll the dice and have a go at the Death Road Mountain Bike cycle. Thanks to No Fear Adventures in we had an amazing day sipping downhill and avoiding death at every turn! Incredible fun and the whole group were amazing, would recommend this to anyone who is planning on going near la Paz
@ The Death Road La Paz - Bolivia
This might look like we are at a ski resort somewhere, but we are actually sat in a cafe at a chairlift station in La Paz, Bolivia. The public transport modes here include a multi line, multi stop cable car which is quite frankly, epic! Complete with a another contactless transport card for the collection
@ La Paz, Bolivia
The last few days have seen Katy and I travel up 4900m to cross the Atacama Desert. The whole experience was phenomenal and the star of the show had to be the Uyuni Salt Flats. Thereās so many photos we took of the mirror effect that we were greeted by but for now I wanted to share this 360 photo I took. You can see how the water resting on the salt causes reflections to look mirror perfect!
So glad we had a great tour group and tour guide and had amazing luck with the weather.
Having fun with the drone, and whilst playing on the sand dunes of ViƱa del mar made me one happy photo geek!
Had great fun exploring the streets of in Chile. The history of the town is amazing and sadly the effects of mass industry leaving due to the Panama Canal opening is still evident. However, the cultural and art scene here has thrived and seeing all the colourful, and politically motivated murals is quite a sight! Thanks to for the walking tours which go into all the detail of the area!

Spending our afternoon living the spa life in Mendozaās thermal baths. Great views, mud baths, water jet massaging and watching people take umpteen vanity inspiring sexy selfies

Travel Blog ā What A Travelsty Sydney 2020-01-30 By: Katy On: January 30, 2020 In: Travel Blog We chugged into Sydney Central Station at 2 minutes to 7 on the morning of the 18th December. We packed up our stuff and rolled, bleary eyed, off the train and straight into rush hour. Well, rush hour by Australian standards anyway. Loo...
Just for , this is the train that takes you around the waterfalls
So yesterday we visited the Iguazu Falls! What an amazing place. Full@of beauty, wildlife and stunning natural scenery! The Argentinian side also has a miniature train š
@ Cataratas Del IguazĆŗ, Misiones, Argentina
Weāve found ourselves in Puerto Iguazu! This place is awesome and borders both Paraguay and Brazil! Weāve also visited the falls but I need some time to sort those photos out

As we get ready to leave New Zealand and head onto the final leg of our trip; South America we thought we'd share a flashback from one of our first days here.
NZ, it's been amazing.
It's officially our 100th day of travelling and our last night in this little green machine. Four weeks have absolutely flown by and we are so in awe of New Zealand, we feel Ike we have barely scratched the surface. .
Soaking up the scenery on a cruise in the beautiful Queenstown
@ Queenstown, New Zealand
Yesterday Martin went off to try his hand at horse riding, there wasn't space for us both so unfortunately I had to spend the afternoon sipping champagne in a private hot tub overlooking the mountains .
In reality I spent the afternoon 3rd wheeling my parents š¤ but it was still lush
@ Nugget Point Queenstown - a THC Group Hotel
And that's a wrap. After spending a lovely 3 weeks with what, at times, felt like a rabble of drunken toddlers, the family are heading home. I'm gonna miss them over the next 3 months but having them here for this short time was bloody awesome!
We have spent the last couple of days exploring the untamed passes and wild west coast of New Zealand. Unfortunately we made our way through Arthur's Pass on the rainiest day of the year which made for miserable camping but some amazing rainforest walks
Driving the west coast roads on the South Island of New Zealand! Some great views from the wheel in between various hikes!
The is a landmark in wanaka. Absolute tourist trap of āsee our tree in a lakeā. However, the view does make for a great photo, and the town of Wanaka is lovely!
Couldnāt resist having some with the view from our new campsite!
The best moment is when a campsite kitty comes along and jumps into your van! I wish we could have taken you with us!!
We spent our evening looking for wildlife at the beaches near portobello, New Zealand. No luck on that front sadly, however we had fun navigating under the night sky
