I am Hannah, a qualified Yoga Teacher. I share Creative Vinyasa, Slow Flow and Yin in Monmouthshire.

I know have been quite on the yoga front, well social media yoga anyway 😀.

It's busy on the farm and with my young family and I have lots of other things going on this summer/autumn.

But here is the current timetable. It's small but I want to be able to give my best in every part of my life. Not just a diluted me.

You know we are always turning lots of dials, family, friends, work, self care, eating well, rest etc.

Sometimes these dials turn up in certain areas, sometimes we turn others down a little, often out of necessity, better when through the lense of awareness and choice. It's how life rolls.

This is what my classes are a mirror of. Life. Managing these dials in practice, from day to day, month to month, shifts in life etc.

All very welcome. My classes are not about beginner, intermediate, advanced. It's hard to define in yoga what these really means. Just a different focus in each.

💜 Hannah

There are a couple of spaces left my Yoga for Anxiety workshop on Sunday.

The last one was really lovely (some are coming back). I will be adding some fresh things aswell.

If you think it might be helpful to you or know someone who may be interested, please do get in touch.

Yoga can be supportive during times when we experience anxiety and stress. I will be sharing:

🌿Yoga movements that support strength, flexibility, grounding and awareness. With a little fun too.

🌿Yoga traditions that can be applied today to help understand connection to ourselves and the world.

🌿Gentle therapeutic somatic based movements to help initiate the relaxation response in the nervous system.

🌿Gentle breath awareness and how this can influence our mental and physical emotional state.

🌿The nervous system and vagus nerve excercises. The vagus nerve being the main nerve responsible for the innate relaxation response.

No yoga experience necessary. All very welcome.

🌻New things coming in April🌻

🌿New wednesday 60 minute evening Yin class by request (starting 19th April). Suitable if you have never practiced yoga before. Looking forward to this class tomorrow at this lovely out of the way space in Abergavenny.

I love this combination of upregulating the nervous system with slightly stronger movements and then downregulating with Yin and some gentle somatic based movements before a Shavasana.

This isn't a fast Vinyasa so suitable for those wanting to take things steady but feel full body movement. Also inviting breath awareness to explore.

From 10-11.15am, perfect for that mid week checkin with yourself. Revitalising and releasing. Limited to 6 people.

Any questions just ask!

Yoga for Anxiety (workshop and course) coming soon in this tranquil space (1st floor). With access to another small space if needed at any time.

There are some awesome yoga teachers around but each class always has unique things to offer. With more stress and busyness than ever, make a little time to look after yourself. All class descriptions are on my website (I know it can be a bit boring reading through a super long winded post! 🙈)

(I am a 500hr Yoga Alliance Professionals qualified teacher. All my classes are very warm and welcoming to all, with a blend of different creative flows with focus on the breath, the nervous system and philosophy. )

🌿The class in Llanvapley will be starting towards the end of January!

💫The next beautiful Yin & Yoga Nidra once amonth session is on Wednesday 25th January. Book soon as last months filled up pretty quickly. Only 3 spaces left.

[This is sped up x8!!! Just for perspective. Real Slow Flow. If you were curious about my Slow Flow class, they might go something like this].

The path of least resistance.

Do you find moving around easier than sitting still?

Or maybe you aren't motivated to move!

Are you patient in some areas of life but not in others?

Do you prefer sound over quietness? Or vice versa?

We all have preferences for lots of different reasons and we might need extra help with some of them. Perhaps next year or in the spring 🌿, following the rhythm of the seasons, you may want to explore your paths of most resistance. To find meaningful growth.

Not all or nothing. Small. Baby. Steps.

🐾 Cat Cow movement when in Down Dog is a really lovely alternative to spinal waves (I know they can feel strong and clunky). The last movement in clip.

🌟Slow Flow starting back on Tuesday 6.15pm Llanover Village Hall. Suitable for those new to yoga. Sensitive cueing. All very welcome.
