✨ Stay calm. Don’t make any knee-jerk reactions right now.
✨ Take a long term view. Markets are likely to move over the next few weeks, but we live in a global economy and the UK market is only one part of it.

The Northern Lights are often one of the things clients mention they would like to see in their lifetime, something they want to tick off their bucket list. It’s not always a case of having the money to see them though as there are so many factors involved in the appearance of the aurora borealis. Last night we were lucky enough to see them in Essex…there are no filters on these photos and they were taken on an iPhone! Did you see them?
Did you know this week is ? This year’s theme, 'The way we talk about Dying Matters’, focuses on the language that we use, and conversations we have, around death and dying.
This is an opportunity for people to talk about death, dying and grief, but is also a reminder that having your Will, your Lasting Power of Attorney and your financial affairs in place, can help lessen the burden on your loved ones when the inevitable happens.

With today being Valentine's Day, I wanted to share some reasons I love being a Financial Planner:
♥ I have the privilege of helping people achieve their financial goals and secure their futures.
♥ I love the challenge of understanding my clients' unique financial situations and developing personalised strategies to help them reach their objectives.
♥ I feel fortunate to be in a field where I can make a real difference in people's lives and be challenged and fulfilled at the same time.

We often hear 'financial planning is not for me, I am too young and I don't have much money'. It's crucial to start your financial planning as young as possible as the expense of playing catch up later down the line can be significant.

If you are feeling blue about your finances and financial goals, here are some tips to help you:
✨ Look at your income v your expenditure. We have a fantastic budgeting tool that we share with our clients to assess this and it highlights whether you really need to be spending on four TV subscriptions.
✨ Stop worrying about your finances and speak to a professional who can take you through cashflow modelling to see where you are. There is no use worrying over something if you don't have all the facts.
✨ Define your short and long term financial goals. Saving for a holiday v saving for your retirement can really shift your mindset.
If you would like to feel less blue about your finances and get your year off to a great start, book an initial complimentary meeting with us today.
'Finfluencers'; advice provided on social media by finance-focused influencers…
Some provide good information, but more do not. It is so important to remember, these people are largely not qualified to give financial advice and have not got the qualifications Financial Advisers have. It also isn’t tailored advice which you will get when speaking to a qualified Financial Adviser. They also have ulterior motives and quite often get paid for their posts and product placement commission.
If you are looking for financial advice, make sure you are getting it from a credible and qualified source!
We are really proud to share that our MD James has again received outstanding client reviews on VouchedFor and have received the 'Certificate of Excellence'.
