Side effects from Injectables…what can go wrong?

❗️It is important that you make an informed decision, fully understanding the risks vs benefits, making the right decision for you. As with any decisions we make in life.

❗️possible injection site reactions include ~ bruising, bleeding, swelling, redness, itching.

❗️Haematoma ~ extensive bruising caused by hitting a blood vessel

❗️Forehead drop or eyelid drop
❗️Asymmetry
❗️Flu type reaction, as with any injection procedure
❗️Dry eyes / headache / double vision

As with any aesthetic practitioner ~ I do my utmost to avoid side effects. Ensuring my infection control practice is of a high standard, my technique and product placement is accurate. But I would not be an effective practitioner if I didn’t highlight to you the possible side effects.

The treatments are temporary, and side effects will wear off over time. Timing of treatment is essential if you have planned big events coming up, to ensure any potential side effects have settled.

I was fortunate to win a branding photo session recently with . Zara was fantastic and provided some perfect pictures for me to use on social media ~ something I need to improve to highlight my aesthetics business. Ultimately in aesthetics it is my expertise that people are buying ~ this is me....Kate...a few more bags under the eyes since the pandemic started with the extended working hours in my nursing NHS role, helping with the vaccination programme. Same clinician, similar procedure, same technique, each visit is unique.

~ Always a risk of bruising
~ Our faces contain many microscopic, small & large vessels
~ Always a degree of trauma to the vessels, which in turn may lead to some bruising.
~ This is why I would recommend if you have any event coming up, allow at least 2 weeks after treatment to ensure full recovery.
~ Bruising has usually reduced by day 5-7, however we are all individual and for some it may be day 10-14 for bruising to have resolved.

2 weeks ~ how long it takes treatment to settle.

Anti wrinkle treatment ~ takes two weeks for the full effect to be seen. This is why I like to review you two weeks after treatment, so any top up can be applied if needed.

Lip Filler 👄 post treatment
Day 2-3 ~ swelling will be at its highest
Day 3-7 ~ swelling will be reducing. The filler may feel hard & lumpy
Day 7-13 ~ water starts to take in water & settles
Day 14 ~ full result and effect 💋

2 weeks ....I would always recommend if you have a special event coming up, ensure you allow enough time for the full effect of your treatment, to avoid disappointment.
