Want to hear more about Paul's new book? He is looking forward to talking about the themes of my book with Bishop Andrew Rumsey, author of 'Parish', in a couple of week's time.

"This is a book about the present and future of the church in our present challenging context; a secular age, decline, stretched resources, complex and fragmented communities requiring diverse missional approaches."

Hey Folks! Hope you are all well 😄
We blinked and September was gone 💨💨.

We were busy here at PMC, we had The CMS Awards take place early on in the month which was a great.

As ever we have had a fabulous group of students on the course over the past year. All called to different contexts: village communities, spiritual seekers, families and children, the canal boat community, a marginalised housing estate. And all finding in the course a place to explore how they might creatively come alongside people in these contexts, build relationship and witness to the love of Christ.

We also held another Pioneer Collective Evening, these are great to come together as Pioneers and chat, pray and of course have some food.

Please do check out the website to see more of what we have been up to. Or events page is also a great place to grab a ticket to anything we have going on! https://www.poolemc.org.uk

We gathered as Pioneers across Dorset on a sunny June afternoon at East Holme Priory near Wareham for a day of reconnection, friendship, prayer and encouragement. Old acquaintances and new friends were made in the midst of sharing time with one another in reflection and in prayer. Pete Atkins, Sally Taylor and Paul Bradbury shared on what it means to Go deeper with God - in community with reference to calling, neighbourhoods and in the everyday hearts of ourselves surrendered to God in our day to day lives. We enjoyed time for food and chat and creative communion and gathered our wider family and networks for the evening meal hosted beautifully by Hilary Bond. We plan to gather again across the year in days like these as well as times online and within the Pioneer Collective - evenings of food, friendship and chewing the chud on Pioneer issues (all dates to come soon!). Thank you to all who came and do continue to invite and pray for those who haven't come along yet!

Dear Friends and supporters,

We're sorry to have to say that the PMC Vision Evening, initially scheduled for the 19th July, has been cancelled. Unfortunately, the publishers of Paul's new book are unable to get copies of the book to us in time for the event.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

However we hope to offer a similar event in the autumn where you can hear about Ember and get a copy of 'In the Fullness of Time'.

We’re really excited to welcome you to a PMC Vision evening coming up on July 19th. The evening will give people a chance to hear more about our work, the latest on some of our projects.

Furthermore this will be launch of not one but two resources! Firstly, Ember which has been the vision of Sally Taylor. It offers churches facing decline, or even closure, the space to lament, pray and dream about their future.

Secondly, In the Fullness of Time, Paul Bradbury’s new book. This is a book about tradition, innovation, church planting, missional communities and patience. We’d love you to come and be with us for the evening.

There will be food for use to enjoy together (with gf,veggie and vegan options) as well as a bar to purchase drinks.

We had a wonderful first Pioneer Collective evening on the first of March hosted at the URC Skinner Street in Old Town Poole.

Pioneers gathered from around Dorset and beyond and reconnected or connected for the first time over food and fellowship. It was an encouraging evening where people shared their stories of Pioneering and shared life; the highs and lows, the joys and frustrations.

We reflected on what we were grateful for in our contexts as Pioneers as well as the challenges we wanted prayer for too.

We look forward gathering again in the summer - do come along to this day of gathering at East Holme, Wareham, BH20 6AG on the 22nd of June.

Mixed Ecology, Norm? 24/10/2022

One of the things we've danced around quite a lot in our conversations on Church Reimagined is the 'mixed ecology'. It's a key way the Church of England are talking about the future these days - but also a helpful metaphor for what church could be whatever tradition your from.

Paul Bradbury and Sally Taylor from Poole Missional Communities will be running a day exploring the mixed ecology on November the 23rd in Wilton, nr Salisbury. Do check out the details below:
